Great Trip. The staff was excellent. Especially the Guides Rahul and Carlos great guides, Rahul was the bird expert and Carlos was the reptile expert, together they contributed to the manmals identification and explanation. I would recommend this trip. The lodge was great ,nets to sleep in. Washrooms were always cleaned, didn't felt like we were in the jungle whenever we went back to the lodge. We saw several mamals, reptiles, we looked for Anaconda we didn't find one at that time however there are ancondas there. The food was excellent, fresh juices and clean eating for the time we spent there ,no junk food. Thank you to Tamandua Expeditions, overall this is a 5 star rating Trip.

The experience at Alta Sanctuary was outstanding. The river and rainforest are beautiful and full of life, and the people working at Alta couldn't be nicer. The guides are so enthusiastic, we were active day and night. The meals were delicious, and the lodging was comfortable and spotless. Our Junglekeepers group had five solo travelers, two couples, and represented six different countries. We had an amazing time. What a great mission to support with an authentic experience. I aim to return.

I had one of the best weeks of my life on the Junglekeeper trip! Holly and Victor were wonderful guides, very kind and knowledgeable. The group was awesome and we felt like a family after only a week. We saw lots of wildlife, the food was amazing and the activities were super fun! The station was beautiful and much more luxurious than I had anticipated. I loved every second of this very special adventure.

Great experience. We got lucky with the wildlife. The nature was as advertised. Unfortunately our guide could only be with us for 4 out of 5 days. But our local guides stepped up. The only critique is that beer was offered, but never communicated that it was for a price. That was informed the day we left. Unnecessary, just be upfront with it and there would not be an issue.

Friends, this is truly the trip of a lifetime and I cannot thank the team at Alta Sanctuary enough for their tremendous spirit and accommodation. I joined the 3-week volunteer/expedition with Amazon Shelter. Sometimes I actually felt disheartened on the trip, and at other times filled with pure wonder. I know that sounds strange but I wouldn't trade any of these ups or downs. I think we all had a great time and I'm really grateful for the people I spent time with. The accommodations at Alta felt quite luxurious. When we arrived I was truly taken aback by such an amazing grounds. Amazon Shelter was a little unprepared for a large group of volunteers. I felt that when our group arrived, there were some issues. I noticed that just one week per activity is actually very tough going. To keep up the pace of work it can be nice to switch tasks every couple days. I think Junglekeeper's team should be able to help invest in safer tools. There is a real need for some essentials and it's not safe to use a broken tool. The kitchen staff should be supported as well. Basic kitchen procedures become really difficult for a big 2-week stay. Again the rigor of the work is absolutely fine and those first two weeks are understandably tough but I believe there are also some different ways to live in the wet season. I want people to experience roughing it but maybe long term, there could be some more support. When we arrived at Alta Sanctuary, I was pretty exhausted. This is the part of the trip where you arrive somewhere more remote and you linger on every sight and sound. Our guides were great. But the hospitality Jesús and Rolin showed us was above all! What great food! A lot of fun activities, the trails aren't too extreme at all but they're very fun in rainy season. I liked the slower moments most of all. The way we held back at the sunset overlook, at the verge of a dark storm, or the way we could just float. Thank you all so so much and with much love!

The whole experience at Alta Sanctuary, on a Junglekeepers' expedition, was outstanding. The river and rainforest are beautiful and full of life, the people running Alta couldn't be nicer, and the guides are so enthusiastic. Day and night, we were very active. The meals are delicious, and the lodging is comfortable and spotless. Our group had five solo travelers and two couples, representing six countries, and we had an amazing time. What a great mission to support, and what a memorable experience. I aim to return.

Went on the Operation Malinowski herping trip with Ian and William in March 2024. It was an amazing experience! They were both super knowledgeable and skilled at finding and handling the reptiles and amphibians that we found. I always felt safe, while still being able to admire the amazing animals that we found. Plus the accommodations were great, and food was amazing. Would definitely recommend the opportunity to enjoy the amazing ecosystem while supporting a great company!
