There are no words to express the value we received from the 2024 Vilcabamba Lifestyle Retreat. My wife and I arrived, expecting to "tolerate" a group of total strangers as we continued our 20 year search for our retirement location. We were shocked as we bonded with a group of strangers and now count everyone in our group as true family. The Abundant Living Crew were incredible hosts, combining knowledge of the area and real -life stories to enhance our experience. What began as a journey to another foreign country, evolved into a life-changing trip. We will never forget the honesty and helpfulness of the Ecuadorian people. We have travelled around the globe, and never encountered a sense of true "community" like we found in VIlcabamba. Our search for our "forever home" has now ended, and we are so thankful to Abundant Living and the retreat members for causing this to happen. Counting the days until we can return for good. p.s. The cost could be doubled, and would have still been worth every penny!

I'm guessing our group melded better than most as we are still talking and can't wait to be neighbors. That was an unexpected treat but the BCJ team (Abundant Living) was gracious, informative, open-armed, helpful beyond measure, integritous in their information and communication, and their families are an absolute joy! I have been in hospitality for over 40 years and I am duly impressed with the organization and ease with which all of our experiences happened. We were honored as individuals, listened to in regards to our needs and wants, and also had an all-around blast of a vacation! I am mildly handicapped and walk with a cane and was not made to feel like a burden at all. The team and the locals all made me feel at home. I can't say enough good things about this group of people and this area and I hope that I have conveyed that well enough that you consider utilizing these guys whether you join their retreat or meet them once you have arrived.
