Our jungle tour with Rolando was without a doubt one of the absolute highlights of our entire vacation. It was an unforgettable experience that we will remember for a very long time. Rolando did an incredible job as a guide. His knowledge, passion, and especially his ability to spot wildlife were simply unbelievable. He saw things that we would never have noticed on our own. Thanks to him, we were able to take amazing photos and videos through his spotting scope as well as with our own cameras. During the tour, we saw almost everything we had hoped for: capuchin monkeys, spider monkeys, toucans, macaws, hummingbirds — we even witnessed a pair of hummingbirds mating, which was absolutely fascinating. We also saw many other beautiful bird species, and Rolando even managed to find a sloth for us. It truly felt like a dream come true. One important thing to mention is that this tour is physically demanding and definitely not suitable for everyone. It was advertised as 7.5 km, but according to our tracking watches we ended up walking nearly 13 km over around seven hours through challenging jungle terrain. We even suspect the original distance may have been meant in miles rather than kilometers. So you should only book this tour if you have a decent fitness level and are prepared for a real adventure. That being said: if you are fit enough, this experience is absolutely worth it. It was breathtaking, magical, and one of the best nature experiences we have ever had.
