We returned last week from our amazing trip to Peru and I can't say enough about how great it was and how well everything was handled. We booked the 6 day Iconic Peru tour plus we added on a couple of extra nights in Cusco and a tour of Rainbow mountain, all with Lino as our guide, and he was great! He is not only super knowledgeable about the Inca history and all the sights we visited, but he was also a pleasure to spend the week with. I felt like we were saying goodbye to a new friend when we left. His passion and excitement for the history is contagious, so if you really want to learn a lot, Lino is your guy. Both he and Roxner (who picked us up and dropped us off at the airport and train) took excellent care of all the details and were super attentive to my health after I got hit pretty hard with altitude sickness my first night in Cusco. Roxner even called the hotel we were staying at minutes after my husband texted him asking if my symptoms sounded like altitude sickness, to make sure that they checked on me and gave me oxygen. And...on the altitude sickness note...you really just don't know how it will impact you...I had been taking Diamox and had been at over 9k ft just 24 hours prior, but the 11k ft of Cusco still got to me. But rest assured that the guides and hotel staff are well prepared to deal with this. Rainbow mountain was also incredible and I highly recommend it, but again, the altitude at over 16K ft is no joke. Lino made sure we went very slowly and suggested at about the halfway point that I take a horse, which I was happy to do. I am not one to book tours or even use tour companies in general but this is not really a trip that can be done on one's own, and I couldn't have been happier with every aspect of our tour. I can't recommend Action Peru Trek highly enough!

We had an amazing time - three adults and three teens and our wonderful guide Odon. Odon was knowledgeable and great company. The hike was beautiful. The packed lunch and meals were delicious. The hotel was nice with a good breakfast with view of the river.

A fantastic experience. Excellent knowledgeable guide who encouraged us along the way. So much better than a one day experience to walk through the spectacular forest and experience the Inca trail.
