As someone who is super anxious about trying new things and totally hates taking chances, I can say hands down: I am so glad I took a chance on this trip with Adventure Amigas. I’ve joined several women's groups trying to find my people, but nothing has ever felt as auténtico as this. As a queer she/they who is neurotypical, I often worry about fitting in, but these women made me feel completely seen and included, letting me feel completely unapologetic about who I am without any judgment whatsoever. They truly live by come as you are, sin vergüenza. Vulnerability wasn't just allowed; it felt safe and healing. Letting our inner wild out and playing like niñas was medicine for the soul. As a woman of color, it is so powerful to connect with other women who just get it, where you don't have to explain your culture because we share that unspoken apoyo and understanding. Tenía una hambre for community, and this completely fed my spirit. I can't wait for the next event. If you've been hesitant, anímate, because I couldn't recommend this more.
