We had a great time, and it felt like a private tour because we were just 2 people accompanied by the tour guide Ephrain and 2 translators (from Spanish to English). Sharing the forest trek with them was a great experience. Our guide Ephrain was lovely-careful, attentive, sharing interesting stories about the forest and his people all the time, knowing when to draw our attention to an interesting sound, plant,area...We had breaks when we needed, and our 2 young translators Ali and Lilly were very sweet and very dedicated. Trekking through the forest was difficult at times because of the rain the night before, as it was extremely muddy. Prob not difficult for high fitness level-mine is basic, but still felt enjoyable going through the forest and the 'river of dreams'. Before the tour, we had great communication with Belu from the agency who was very engaged in all messages and very helpful. However, there were some misunderstandings on the day of the tour regarding what we actually need for the tour vs what we thought we need. The agency did their best to assist us on the day, but more detailed information of the itinerary before hand would be very helpful. Also, our lunch was later in the day, around 4 pm at a restaurant in Tena, not within the Uchuculin community as described. However, the overall experience from the tour was very positive, especially the expert guidance by Ephrain and all his efforts to make the tour safe and enjoyable for us. Thank you, Epehrain!

We had a wonderful two days with our tour guide Vens. He is very knowledgable and has great eyes - he was able to spot a boa constrictor in a tree in the distance. Made us feel comfortable and all the logistics went smoothly.

We had a great time in our Akangau tour. It was a great experience from the start to finish - personalized to our expectations and abilities, even provided us with a translator which was very helpful. Misael was very welcoming and explained everything before and after. It was raining the entire time but our tour guide was very patient and helped in crossing the river. It was not easy one for us but we enjoyed thoroughly. It was a once in a lifetime experience. We would recommend this tour to anybody who is physically fit. Thanks a lot to the entire Akangau Team. We had an incredible time on this Amazon tour with my partner and his family. From start to finish, everything was well organized, and the experience was unforgettable. The lodge itself is pretty simple, but it was always clean and comfortable. What really made our stay special was the warm and welcoming staff, who were more than happy to show us around and make us feel at home. Our guide Ben was absolutely fantastic. He was enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and always accommodating. He made sure everyone in our group, including someone with a sprained ankle and my partner’s dad, could enjoy the tour by adjusting activities as needed. His passion for the Amazon was contagious, and we learned so much from him. The itinerary was packed with amazing experiences, from making chocolate to visiting waterfalls and spotting wildlife like monkeys. Every day brought something new and exciting, and we truly felt immersed in the beauty of the rainforest. Overall, this was a wonderful adventure, and we would highly recommend it to anyone looking for an authentic and well-organized Amazon tour!

It was an excellent trip just as described in the itinerary . The organization , the guide , lodge staff and boat driver were all exceptional . We had so many great experiences and the guide was very knowledgeable about all aspects of the jungle . Accommodation also very clean and well presented . Would recommend this trip to everyone
