It was an amazing trip. Rod and Libby were all in, leading us from morning until night. I felt safe, poured into and informed every step of the way. All the logistics were great- the hotels were wonderful, the food plentiful and the bus accommodations very comfortable. This was a 10/10 experience.

We had such a great time. Such knowledgeable leaders and teachers. The teaching ranged from strong biblical understanding and great history to a clear grasp of the geographical landscape, while also creating space for introspection and for how I am going to walk this out in my current life. The accommodations were amazing, and the food and the whole team were a good fit. It was life-changing; if you can, everyone should make space for a trip like this.

My expectations for this trip to the Holy Land were high and yet it exceeded my expectations in every way! Rod and Libby are the dynamic duo for sure! Between Rod's spirit-filled and passionate teachings of God's Word and Libby's archaeological knowledge, along with her own scriptural teachings, these two bring the Word to life! With great wisdom and discernment they let the land unfold before you in a way that prepares your heart for the full experience to come! I will never read the Word the same again. It's gone from black and white to technicolor! We were consistently encouraged to consider what it felt like to live in that time and to consider what kind of world Jesus stepped into. It explained many things I didn't know I needed explanations for. I must say a word about safety. At no point on the trip did I feel unsafe. Even with the current tensions in the region. In fact, at one point we decided to back out of the trip. However, in subsequent conversations we decided to trust Rod and Libby's judgement, along with their contacts who live in the land, that we would be safe, and we were. I'm so glad we did not let our fears keep us from this experience! I don't have words to describe the ways this trip changed my relationship with my Heavenly Father, except to say I have never felt more loved and known by Him and I have never loved Him more!

This trip was truly one of the more profound life experiences I have had. As a pastor who has been in ministry for 46 years I can honestly say that there are parts of the Pauline Epistles and Revelation which I will never read the same way again. Being onsite at the locations where Paul planted churches and the churches to whom John was writing, as well as being in Rome and in a place like Mamertine Prison where Paul wrote Philippians with complete joy while awaiting execution, not only helped me understand God's word with more clarity, but helped me take another step in my relationship with Jesus, and my commitment to live for Him so that the summary of my life might one day be Acts 13:36. I will be forever grateful for this trip, and for Rod and Libby who are wonderfully gifted teachers who poured their life and knowledge into us with passion, authenticity, and the love of Jesus that is so evident in them. This trip is one for the ages. We were able to step back into thousands of years of history and have thoughtful and thorough guides like Rod and Libby to lead us through it all. Their insights brought the Bible to life in a way that is both awe-inspiring and incredibly challenging. The itinerary is full and so is my head and heart. I would definitely recommend this for anyone who wants to see the connection of the generations of faith and the shoulders of followers of Christ on whom we stand.
