We were not able to see the Aurora Borealis due to snowy & cloudy nights, but in spite of that, it was still a great experience. We met some really nice & friendly people, went to some great restaurants, bars & museums; had a fun time on a dog sled ride, a snowcat ride, slid sdown some ice slides in an outdoor ice scuplture park, had a martini in an all ice martini glass in an ice museum and heard some interesting facts and nuances about the Northern Lights from Bob Berman.breakfast at the
The only less than great experiences were waiting 30 minutes for our luggage to be unloaded from the Alaska Railroad train we took from Anchorage to Fairbanks as well as the buffet breakfast we had at the Fairbanks Westmark Hotel...worst buffet breakfast that we have ever experienced...cold and poor quality food with almost no variety.
