Let me start with 5 STARS — S.T.A.R.S. — because professionalism was truly at its finest from beginning to end.
The activities were culturally inspiring and kept us engaged from morning until late evening, from the very first day of arrival to the last. We even enjoyed the last days of pure relaxation at the hotel, which was the perfect balance to all the adventure. I personally stayed an additional day just to unwind, and it was worth every moment.
The tour guides, the driver, and the head travel guide made sure we were well taken care of everywhere we went, especially during shopping. Whatever we needed, whenever we needed it, the loving and kind Ghanaians at the hotel made sure it was provided. Their hospitality was unmatched.
I have no complaints. Even the bumpy roads weren’t a surprise — they informed us ahead of time before the journey began.
The food was simply delicious and spicy and every resort we ate at or any street food we purchased did not disappoint. If you have a sensitive stomach to ethnic food, make sure you have medication to meet your needs. The food can be a culture shock if you are not use to spicy food. Wait! Delicious spicy foods. LOL
The Zoom calls and the handouts (which I’m still processing!) gave us daily guidance. As we moved through each experience, I could see how all the pieces fit together.
Normally, once I’ve been somewhere, that’s enough for me. But not this time. This experience makes me want to go again… and again… and again. There was a spiritual component that captured my heart from start to finish. From the airport to the door‑to‑door service at the hotel, I felt like the Queen of Ghana.
