I started Aussie2italia because friends kept asking me "how do I book Italy?" I always hated hearing of people coming back saying they didn't love Italy...... What I started to understand was they simply "didn't know what they didn't know yet" In other words they would book Italy blindly without understanding or worst get misguided information from the internet - They didn't dislike Italy they just didn't understand how to plan a trip there.I specialise in Italy and in fact I know it very well as my father was born in Trieste and came to Australia in his late teens. I have had a long history of working in the travel industry including planning and writing itineraries to Italy for a wholesale travel company for over 11 years. Here is our spiel and our why....

We take a planning fee of&nbsp;$597 deposit*&nbsp;and we work together to get the best outcome for you to do what you want in Italy - we can do this over zoom, the phone, via text or email as communication channel is up to you.&nbsp;&nbsp;*NOW if you do use our booking service, which I will explain a little more below –your $500 goes towards your deposit&nbsp;(min bookings required)&nbsp;&nbsp;As explained the planning fee is for my time working with you as previously I didn’t do that and people would just take the information which I would spend a lot of time working on it and they would not value my time or work.&nbsp;You can simply keep the itinerary and information at this point if you prefer - I will answer any questions you have regarding booking your itinerary yourself. I will share everything you need to book the best trip to Italy (in the safest and best way) and recommend hotels, services and ways to book to ensure you get what you paid for. One client told us "Aussie2italia you gave me confidence to do it myself and saved me time and money with all your knowledge"Or I am happy to offer you a quote.&nbsp;If you want to progress with a quote and we have a plan and dates - turn around is 3-5 business days and I will present costs back to you with an accommodation range ie 4 star etc As we are a wholesaler costs with include everything rail, accommodation, tours etc in one per person cost. If you want us to proceed we can book it for you through our Operator in Rome - if not that is okay too - We are still here to help you.If you accept the quote a deposit is required and we start the booking process. At this point we send you links to accommodation for you to check if you are happy with what we have provided we confirm it and on pay the deposit. If you are not happy we look for another option within that range.&nbsp;We will have around 2 weeks depending on the options to book the accommodation at that cost quoted - sometimes this changes depending on the accommodation. Some of the apartment style properties we offer may ask for full payment but we should know this at time of quoting unless something changes which can happen.&nbsp;&nbsp;Depending on your departure date …..When you are happy with accommodation we will request a 30% deposit for bookings.&nbsp;(note: min services required) This money as explained is passed onto Italy (and therefore paid in EURO) You will pay in AUD on the exchange rate of the day we pay Italy as the operator then needs to on pay your deposit to the accommodation.&nbsp;&nbsp;Trains can not be booked until 90 days out but they will book as soon as they can, similar with some inspections or tours but we are guided by our operator to what is required.&nbsp;&nbsp;Final payment is normally due between 60-30 days before departure and once paid Less your $500 deposit&nbsp;all documents and final itineraries are produced and sent to you 2 weeks before your departure. You can have both electronic and print out versions.&nbsp;Note: if you book one of our tours then when you pay deposit you receive planning complimentary &nbsp;&nbsp;

Rome - The Eternal City 

Day 1

This morning after your Italian style breakfast on the terrace you have time to continue your exploration of Rome. There is so much to do an see in this amazing city. Return to your hotel to check out at midday. Please remember all your personal belongings ! We then head to the train station for the fast train to Naples. The tour representative will get you to the train station and onto the train to Naples. This is the fast train and seats are allocated for you. It is a good idea to buy some lunch or snacks to take with you. The fast trains have wifi or you can simply enjoy the scenery. On arrival in Naples, you will be meet by our driver who will direct you to your private transfer to your accommodation in Sorrento or surrounding Sorrento. On the private transfer to your accommodation you will have a 15 minute stop at a local lemon Cello factory and shop. This is a liquor that is local to the region and you will get an opportunity to see first hand how lemon cello is made and what amazing things are produced from local lemons. Your private transfer will drop you at your hotel to check in for the next 5 nights. Sorrento is a coastal town in southwestern Italy, facing the Bay of Naples on the Sorrentine Peninsula. Perched atop cliffs that separate the town from its busy marinas, it’s known for sweeping water views and Piazza Tasso, a cafe-lined square. The historic centre is a warren of narrow alleys that's home to the Chiesa di San Francesco, a 14th-century church with a tranquil cloister. Dinner tonight is at your own expense. Ask us for a recommendation or wander the streets of Sorrento and explore the local restaurant scene.

Day 2

This morning after your Italian style breakfast, Meet your tour in the lobby this morning for your private transfer to Pompeii.Today is a half day tour and this tour is often early to escape the heat of the day - this will depend on the date of your departure. The city of Pompeii is famous because it was destroyed in 79 CE when a nearby volcano, Mount Vesuvius, erupted, covering it in at least 19 feet (6 metres) of ash and other volcanic debris. The city's quick burial preserved it for centuries before its ruins were discovered in the late 16th century. Today we travel back in time and together with our tour guide we explore the city and its hidden story of the past.&nbsp;After the half day tour you will be dropped back at your hotel lobby. This afternoon is free to explore Sorrento, take a swim in the hotel pool or just relax Dinner tonight is at your own expense. Ask us for a local recommendation.

Day 3

Today after our Italian style breakfast, meet in the lobby for your tour today of the Isle of Capri (weather permitting). An island of wealth for the wealthy, Capri reveals the secrets of the super-rich in its elegant villas and steep cliffs. Capri was first “discovered” by emperor Augustus in the early years of the Roman Empire. He often resided there and built many temples, villas and gardens as a way of having his own private paradise. This is a full day tour and you will have time to explore this amazing place. You will take a ferry from the port to the island of capri and have time to explore the area. On arrival back into Sorrento by ferry in the late afternoon you can either stay in town at the port or be transferred back to your hotel. Dinner will be own arrangements.

Day 4

After your italian style breakfast, you will be picked up in the lobby for your full day tour of Amalfi coast. On your day tour you will see dramatic coast line and visit the towns along the Amalfi Coast - Positano, Amalfi, and Ravello . We will admire the ancient fishing village of Conca dei Marini, which today is home to luxury villas and hotels, Furore with its famous bridge 30 meters high, Praiano and Positano, the "vertical city" famous all around the world. We will have time to stop and explore Positano Ravello (best views ever from here) and have lunch (at own expense) at the town of Amalfi. On your return late afternoon from your day tour dinner is at own arrangements.

Day 5

After your Italian Style breakfast today will be a free one so you have time to explore Sorrento area.&nbsp; There is so much do and see here in Sorrento and its great to have a day to just explore. You may like to visit other islands off the coast of Naples like Ishca, somewhere many tourists have not travelled, maybe just visit the beach or catch up on that last minute shopping. Tonight is your last dinner (at own expensive) which you could have either at the hotel or at one of the many local restaurants – many recommendations!

Day 6

After your last Italian style breakfast you have the morning free to do any last minute shopping before checking out and meeting in the lobby to take your private transfer back to Naples Train station. On arrival at Naples Train Station you will board your fast train to Rome. Once in Rome you will arrive at Rome Terminal and this is the end of your tour Alternatively, you might like to extend your stay in Sorrento or continue your touring to see more of Southern Italy. Ask us for more information - and remember tour planning is complementary when you book one of our tours.
