My supported Camino pilgrimage experience with Bertrand and Flores del Camino is one of the most wonderful gifts of my entire life. I'm so thankful my wife and I chose this path as our first Camino experience (I can't imagine it will be our last). In addition to all the offerings you might expect on a Camino pilgrimage, we received a miniature masterclass on church architecture, discussions about sacred art along the Camino, along with the myths and legends that have accumulated over the centuries, a daily space to process the real stuff about our experience in our group of pilgrims, and freedom from most of the tedious unknowns around practical logistics. One of the best things about Bertrand's support was that the logistics that would have easily overwhelmed us (or at least left me with a lot less energy to focus on the beauty of the Way, the walking experience, and my own inner journey and spiritual concerns) were all handled. Bertrand booked amazing accommodations with people providing exceptional hospitality, food, and comfort. We mostly avoided the biggest crowds and noisiest spots, which made this much more restful. Knowing he was there with car service if we ever needed it was a relief, too, especially on the longer walking days. Bertrand is also an exceptional cook and companion for the journey. Our pre- and post-walking days at the Flores del Camino retreat center were exquisite spaces for rest, recovery from international travel, getting to know our little group of fellow pilgrims, and enjoying the art-rich space at Flores. Those days gave me much-needed slow-down spaces for transition — they made it possible to truly approach the walking, and to process it after we were done. So much of the care and soulful work that Bertrand (and his wife, Basia, who co-leads retreats at Flores) offers started long before we got to Spain or began walking. They are seasoned anam caras (Celtic "soul friends") who met with us by Zoom months before our Camino to talk about our intentions for the journey and explore ways to support what was meaningful for us. They are gentle, compassionate, spiritually attuned listeners who care deeply about the folks who attend their retreats and pilgrimages. And now that we're home, we'll be meeting with them over the next few months to keep processing the experience and talk through ways to integrate what we found. A huge part of the personal gift of this trip for me was how it became an exceptional space away from my normal life and rhythms — preoccupations, chores, email, client work, everyday chatter. I feel so grateful for Bertrand's care before, during, and now after my pilgrimage.

An amazing feat of organisation transporting folk from Madrid Airport up to Northern Spain for a panoply of delights from learning about the land (physical characteristics, history, textures etc), creating a labyrinth and thoughtfully walking it. Learning about the sky: constellations, stars etc and preparing us to understand the Full-Solar eclipse and then experience it. Wonderful hospitality, accommodation, fabulous food as well as the opportunity to paint using pigments and vegetation from the local landscape. And remarkably, to get me interested in Geometry - a major achievement! Can’t praise it highly enough. Thank you to B&B and their team for a truly memorable and amazing time. x c

What a beautiful and well-organized experience. Sharon's knowledge of the Book of Jonah was inspiring! Bertrand's hospitality at Flores and our pilgrimage on the Camino was excellent! We are planning to return to Flores in 2028 for the pilgrimage to Santiago :)
