This was my first time camping and canoeing. It was great. Organisation by BGH was great, all the participants were chilled and interesting. Canoetrail were fantastic - thank you Ash and Sib. I cannot recommend Black GIrls Hike and Canoetrail highly enough. A wonderful experience from start to finish. I will definitely being going on other trips.

It was great spending time with so many beautiful women united through their love for nature and desire for joy, rest and fun. The schedule was well thought out and there was lots of great activities for everyone to take part in.

Had a fantastic weekend, the activities was of high quality with loads of choices. I opted for the bell tent which were lovely especially the outdoor showers which were hot consistently. There was so much to explore in the estate we stayed in, and the BGH team kept us informed throughout about the things that were happening. We had a few mis-haps with the food in the beginning, however these were resolved by the second day and was super organised. Overall it was a great experience, much needed break, amongst amazing like-minded women. Cant wait for the next trip :-)

The trip was nourishment for my soul. It was fantastic spending quality time in nature with 100 black women. The activities were very well organised and considered for the group. What would I improve? There was some issues with the bell tents, some had campbeds. Some mattresses, others nothing. There needed to be equality with the resources. The food was delicious and although there were portion control issues, the team addressed this daily to get a working system in place which was appreciated by all. The outdoor facilities were great. We had the best shower and the compost toilets were clean and I wasn't afraid to use them. Looking forward to the next weekend trip as this was a necessary I didn't realise how much I needed.
