Absolutely loved the trip to Guatemala. There were a few hiccups with accommodation i.e. I had requested private rooms and ended up sharing more often that not and I personally didn't love two of the places we stayed at but that's more down to my personal preferences, I am a light sleeper and it was VERY loud etc. The trip was well organized in terms of the activities, the food was amazing and the group of people on the trip were really good people overall. I would travel again with Unruly for sure!

I just had the most amazing experience with Calen and Unruly Travel. I went with Unruly Travel on a trip to Guatemala. We hiked a volcano, made potions with a La Bruja, did a vegan walking food tour, had a presentation from the Women's Cooperative Network on how natural fibers are made into beautiful clothing and other textiles and so much more. Calen was well organized(this was my first trip with them) and made sure we were all happy and well taken care of for the duration of the trip. There was more than enough food, accommodations were clean and very nice and she even made sure the weather was great. I look forward to taking more trips with Unruly. Not only was it am amazing experience, I feel like I walked away with a lot of wonderful new friends.

This was one incredible trip! Packed full of activities and tours that were fun, immersive, and meaningful! I loved that we were able to learn from and support so many local organizations and individuals. The vegan food was incredible. This was absolutely one of the best trips I have ever been one and sooo much fun!

I am not someone who normally does group trips, but Calen has a rare gift of corralling good people, good places, and good food in such a way that I’m positively hooked! This is my second experience with them, and it was my favorite so far. If you’re looking for a vegan and queer friendly group where you can hike volcanos, make lasting friends, learn about the world and your place within it, be yourself, and have some good old fashioned FUN—then sign up asap. I feel totally cracked open and reinvigorated to follow my passions and be a more dignified human in this world. Endless thanks to Calen and all who join—we are the unruly ones!

I loved just about all the activites! Met some good people and did some things I likely wouldn’t have found out about on my own. Loved traveling with other vegans! My only complaint is some of the accommodations could have been more comfortable, but I suppose that’s part of the “unruly” experience
