I had an excellent experience with Tim and Ken! Due to a last-minute scheduling conflict, I wasn't able to participate in the full workshop, but the parts that I was able to join were great. Tim and Ken's communication and coordination were timely and clear, and they balanced structured events (a scouting visit to the OVRO site and the shoot there later that night) with informal guidance and assistance. Unlike at some other workshops I've attended, Tim and Ken did not do any photography themselves (so they weren't distracted) and they gave us the freedom to roam and explore to find our preferred shots (rather than all of us lining up in a row to take essentially the same shots); meanwhile, they were readily available for questions and feedback. I really appreciated this approach. And the OVRO location was just super cool. I would definitely join them for other workshops in the future!

Anytime you take a night workshop with Tim prepare yourself for a truly educational, enlightening, astronomical experience. Tim will take the time to work with you individually if you get stuck on something. Or if you have a question he'll do his best to answer it. Ive been attending Tim's workshops for about 7 years now, I can honestly tell you. 1. Ive always come away with a piece of knowledge I didn't know before and 2. If you're thinking about getting involved in this beautiful art, and want a great instructional evening to set the groundwork, look no further Tim's class is the one you want to take.....
