We had an awesome time on our trip to Germany and Poland to commemorate the B-24 Liberator named "Daisy Mae" and her crew. Carly and Andrew did an absolutely phenomenal job of planning and conducting the tour, from well before the start to after the finish!
Here are some of the things we especially appreciated:
(*) Carly and Andrew are wonderful guides -- always upbeat and fun! They're also very safe and considerate drivers.
(*) Carly is one of those special people who serve as "communication hubs". Everywhere we went, she was able to engage knowledgeable experts and local institutions to enhance our experience, e.g. Maik Petersen in Nordfriesland, and the museum staff at both Stalag Luft 3 & 4. Their expertise added immeasurable value to our experience.
(*) The tour was very competently organized. We stayed in excellent hotels in central locations throughout, and our transport was very comfortable. Carly's preparatory briefings and handouts were highly informative and helpful.
(*) For us, the schedule had the perfect blend of organized activities/meals vs. free time. We enjoyed the opportunities to do some independent exploring in Berlin and Cottbus.
(*) When some activities took longer than anticipated (e.g. our enthusiastic hunt for aircraft parts at the crash site), Carly and Andrew were very adept at accommodating the changes and adapting the schedule accordingly.
(*) The tour was very reasonably priced -- outstanding value for the money!
