The trip was wonderful. Loved the people on the trip, the places we went, the food we ate and the accommodations. The cherry on top was the spiritual aspect of the trip.

The organizational and managerial skills of Cody and Angela Egner are very effective and were displayed in full force during this pilgrimage to Greece and Turkey. All facets of the trip were perfectly coordinated and executed in a timely manner, and there was no wasted time spent standing around wondering when the bus would eventually depart or if the cruise ship was going to operate as scheduled to the various ports of call. However, the religious aspects of the pilgrimage were not wholly satisfactory for either myself or my wife of 47 years, and this was very disappointing for us . With high hopes for a religious enrichment of our Christian beliefs, we were left with a less than satisfactory experience. My wife, who is a devout practicing protestant, was offended, as was I, with the superior attitude displayed and verbalized that held non-Catholics to a not-ready-for-prime-time status. My wife was not the only non-Catholic in the group that felt this way during the pilgrimage, and it curtailed her participation in the religious aspects during the trip. It's not to say that she didn't feel welcome to be part of the group, but she definitely felt that her protestant background relegated her to second tier status as a Christian and therefore not likely a candidate for salvation. I feel personally that if I wanted to participate in a future pilgrimage I would be travelling solo, as my wife understandably would reject any suggestion that she accompany me. As Maya Angelou once said, you might not remember what others said or did, but you will remember how they made you feel.

The experience was amazing. The sights were unbelievable and the food was fantastic and Cody made the experience so enjoyable with his presence and his kind heart.
