Surf & Yoga Weekend | Secluded Woodland Retreat

Had a brilliant time. I didn't know anyone to start with, but had fun with a wicked group of people, all whilst learning go surf. Connor, our group leader/surf teacher, is an absolute babe and humoured even my most mediocre surfing.
Would definitely recommend for any solo travellers looking for an awesome adventure; especially if you like camping too!

I had the best time. A beautiful camp in open fields on the edge of woods with a swimming pond, large fire area and comfortable dining / kitchen area. The bell tents were shared between three people, but were spacious and comfortable. The surf coaches were amazing. Chris, especially was fantastic at giving really helpful pointers and by the end of the weekend I felt confident in standing and riding the waves. Cannot recommend enough.

EXTRA SURF HIRE

Arriving at our surf school in the heart of Newquay, it's time to check in and get the surf trip started. Here, you'll be greeted by your friendly host who'll make sure everyone has all they need and that we're ready for a great few days of surfing.&nbsp;
 
After the warm welcome, we'll make the short drive (15 mins) to our surf camp, your home for the next few days. If you've arrived by public transport we'll make sure you hitch a ride in the Landrover to the camp.
 
The first evening is pizza night, using our outdoor pizza ovens it's a social affair of cooking pizzas and settling into camp life.&nbsp;

Meet & Greet

Day 1: ARRIVAL 4PM

After breakfast at the camp, we head back to the surf school for the first of the surfing lessons. We start with an introduction to surfing and an overview of individual surf goals with help from the surfing ability measure from iAM bands.&nbsp;
 
Post-surf, it is time for lunch at one of the many options which surround the surf school. Dine in or grab a pasty and hang out at the shop (surf school) it's your call.&nbsp;
 
After lunch, the second surf is more of a relaxed and less structured session. Building on the morning success and coaching pointers whilst just having fun and enjoying being in the surf.&nbsp;

DAY 2: LIFES A BEACH

Back at the camp, it's time for the serious fun to start. The camps are built around a large swimming pond and a games area. So whether it's a giant Jenga challenge, slack-lining, balance boards or even axe throwing, camp life is the best and has plenty to do.&nbsp;
 
When the sun starts to set behind the trees it's time to strike up the BBQ and help prepare and share another social meal with your fellow surf campers. As the night winds down there's nothing better than a campfire of course. Surfed out and sitting around a fire. Life is good! &nbsp;

CAMP LIFE 

Day 3's surf lesson is a recap of good general surf principles and the setting of individual surfing goals. This session is then filmed and we'll take a look at the results and talk through your waves later in the afternoon.&nbsp;
 
For the 3rd night evening meal, you're free to explore Newquay and soak up a sunset on the beach (fingers crossed)&nbsp;

Day 3

Day 4 starts with a theory session at the camp. Helping to dispel any myths and help answer those burning surf questions or simply explaining the rules of etiquette, board design any anything else which might be helpful.&nbsp;
 
After class, it's time for lunch in Newquay and back in the water for another surf session.&nbsp;

Our final night's meal is together in Nequay at a pre-booked restaurant. &nbsp;It's a great time to share stories of the last few days and make plans for the next surf trip!&nbsp;

After our final surf session of the week, it's time to say our fond farewells and start to make the journeys home. It's an epic week of surfing, making new surf buddies and hanging out in the surf capital of the UK.&nbsp;
