The cycling on this trip is phenomenal along with the hardworking escorts Matteo and Vini. Unfortunately the group was too large (23 riders) and caused complications. Worst was the lack of rooms as outlined in the tour descriptions. Many riders were out into alternative accommodation which did not match the quality of the main hotels.

It was a great trip. The scenery was stunning, the food delicious and I just felt so supported and encouraged by our fantastic guides. They were knowledgeable, organised and went out their way to ensure everyone in the group was having a good time.

I’m so happy to give you a very positive review of my experience on Cycle Albania UNESCO a group of nine of us led by Ash with support from lovely Dina! Ash, as you know has done this many many times this trip and seems to know every everybody in every restaurant, town and hotel that we stayed at! He’s one happy energized guy for sure! Most all of the hotels and meals were great however I was so disturbed at the end of our lunches and dinners that so much food was left over and wasted. Other cyclists were also uncomfortable about this. There are so many starving people in Albania! Unfortunately, after eight days of an excellent adventure and scenery , cuisine , interesting sites the last multimillion dollar newly built resort hotel just so awful because it was lifeless and 15 km away from the old town of Schroker as stated on the agenda and I was expecting to stay and have a very unenriched last day with the old culture there.The beaches were deserted in the area. I felt awful like I was in the wrong place. There was no group goodbye and we were all distributed to Tirana and airport. Enough complaining I highly promote this trip in southern Albania to others. PS: I also very much enjoyed the Cycle Albania express for 15 days just prior to this South Albania trip. It was led by Dimitri a very pleasant man.

The scenery was jaw dropping beautiful. The food was an array of flavour, colour, and abundance. Mateo and Vinny were a joy. Mateo took full control of our large group of twenty three with ease. I felt safe and at ease knowing that we had Vinny as a sweep. Kind regards, Connie Bridge

Five star all the way! Second year we booked Cycle Albania, last year we did the South loved it so much we just completed the Balkin Express this year. There are no words to describe the beauty of the mountains. The route allowed us to see all 4 Balkin countries. Our guide Mateo and support staff Vini are true ambassadors for Albania. Their team work and expertise provided for a safe and fun trip. The trip was well paced, with coffee breaks and meals that were outstanding. They really go above and beyond they arranged day trips, even on their day off and we’re always available. I would highly recommend Cycle Albania and their team Mateo and Vini. They are the best!!!!
