I joined the Cycle Albania UNESCO Tour for 10 days because I wanted to experience and learn more about Albania — and it turned out to be so much more than I expected! From start to finish, the tour was exceptional. Dhimitri and Elvis were an incredible guide and support team, always making sure everyone was comfortable, well-fed, safe, and enjoying every moment. The food was fresh, healthy, and delicious, and the cycling took us through an amazing variety of landscapes — from beautiful coastal roads to challenging mountain climbs. Our group of 20 had such wonderful chemistry, which made the whole experience even more special. We laughed, challenged ourselves, supported one another, and finished the tour with so many great memories. A huge thank you to Dhimitri and Elvis/Visi for your warmth, hospitality, care, and hard work. You truly made me fall in love with Albania. I’ll miss you all — and I’m already looking forward to coming back for another Balkan adventure! ❤️🚴‍♀️🇦🇱

Cycling the Balkans with Cycle Albania was one of the best travel experiences I’ve ever had: the routes were spectacular, the hotels were comfortable and full of character, and the care from our guide Julian and the driver made everything feel safe, smooth, and genuinely enjoyable. We stayed in a mix of small hotels and guesthouses, well located for the daily rides and with a lot of local charm. In Tirana, the start hotel (Hotel Sky) was central and practical for meeting the group. Along the route, we had nights in mountain towns and by the coast, with simple but clean rooms, friendly hosts, and excellent home-cooked dinners featuring fresh local ingredients. The combination of historic towns meant waking up to very different but always beautiful settings.

What a fantastic experience! Loved it all from start to finish - even though it was very hot and sometimes very hard (I was on a road bike for most of the trip). The route was wonderful, especially the first 5 days in the rural areas and the mountains. Accommodation was of a good standard, and the food was fantastic. Our guide and driver looked after us incredibly well. Our guide spoke amazing English, and really shared his knowledge and love of Albania with us. He was excellent at briefing us on the day ahead - and indeed at each rest stop (we asked a lot of questions!) He was also really interesting and informative about Albanian history and culture. Our driver was always ready with snacks and water refills, and worked hard to make sure all our bikes were functioning well. They helped the group to bond - which we really did! We loved meeting and making friends from around the world, and experiencing Albania. It was a really fantastic trip. I highly recommend it.

Fantastic trip! Cycle Albania excels with communication, organization and local knowledge. Great road conditions and spectacular scenery. Decent 3 star accommodation and really good, abundant food included in the trip. Big shout out to Junid who was quick to answer questions before the trip and was an excellent, caring guide!!!
