Incredible surf instructors. Comfortable place to stay. I will keep coming back. Highly recommend surf lessons here. The instructors care about your progress and show you ways to improve. They explain everything clearly and take your safety seriously. In love with this place.

Damo and his boys made me fall back in love with surfing, with the ocean, and with Costa Rica. They gave me back my confidence, and I honestly can’t wait to go back!

I just wrapped up 10 days of lessons with Damo and I honestly can’t believe how much my surfing has improved. As a well-seasoned instructor with what seems like decades of experience, he took my skills to an entirely new level in a ridiculously short amount of time. From day one, it was clear he knows the ocean inside and out. He quickly assessed my skill level and built a super focused plan around them. Every session was productive — no wasted time. He broke down techniques in a simplest way: clear demonstrations, immediate feedback, and smart drills that targeted exactly what I needed to work on. By day 5 I was catching waves I would have never even attempted before, and by the end of the 10 days I was linking turns, riding with much better form, and actually enjoying bigger waves instead of just surviving them, my improvement was tremendous. Also a video analysis, a yoga and a breath exercise sessions are absolute add on to boost your skills. Beyond the technical skills, Damo is incredibly patient, encouraging, and genuinely invested in your progress. He has a calm, positive energy that makes you feel comfortable pushing your limits without fear. He also taught me so much about ocean safety, reading conditions, and surf etiquette that I now feel much more confident surfing on my own. If you’re serious about improving fast, whether you’re a beginner or intermediate surfer, do yourself a favor and book time with him or his team. 10 days with this guy was worth months (maybe years) of random practice. Damo and his team (Ron & Cesar) are the absolute pro and one of the best instructors I’ve ever had in any sport. Also I cant say enough about the stay at Rooms2board and the people there, food and how well the property is taken care on day to day basis. It's a home way from home. The greatest time I've had during vacations was in Costa Rica and half of it is thanks to Damo, such a great, chill and friendly guy, and an even better surf instructor. I'd return a thousand times.
