Our trained and Wilderness First Responder Certified guides will lead you through the backcountry of Shenandoah National Park as you learn about backpacking preparedness, safety, best practices, and much more! Highlights of the trip include a sunset hike and sweeping views from Black Rock Summit! Before the trip you'll have the chance for a group session with one of our guides to discuss how to get ready and pack for the trip, as well get to know your fellow backpackers! Backpacking and sleeping gear is provided so do not worry if you don't have all the bells and whistles; all you need is the ability to hike with a 30-lb pack for 4-6 hours and a willingness to try new and exciting things. Please note that we will stay at a campground.
