We had a great day kayaking with Antonio. He was an excellent and knowledgeable guide that provided very helpful kayaking tips, as well as interesting ecological and historical information. We had great equipment and felt very confident in Antonio’s care. Beautiful way to spend the day and get to explore some of the area. Thank you!!

Incredible experience — Diego and Ale are experts at what they do and, at the same time, great people. I would 100% recommend the experience.

The annual expedition was truly a fantastic experience. The wild scenery and geological formations made every paddle stroke, every footstep and every sunset a thing to behold. The guides were on top of their game and never skipped a beat in ensuring every moment was an instant memory. Having fresh speared fish almost every night was a bonus and delightful. We were lucky to encounter whales, lots of pods of dolphins, turtles, fly in fish and the occasional goat. The Indomito guides and team are second to none, as they are knowledgeable, thoughtful and fun to be around!

Two friends and I joined Indomito’s annual expedition, which was circumnavigation of San Jose Island. My friends and I found out we were the only first time clients, although we were typical – longtime kayakers in our 60s/70s. All but two were from Canada. Our guides were Diego and Antonio. Diego is now the co-owner of the company, and Antonio is a seasoned guide with a degree in marine biology. They worked together very well to ensure our safety and to prepare amazing meals morning, noon and night. There was an expectation on the trip that clients help with the cooking and cleanup, but it never felt onerous. (possibly because I forgot about it until day 4 and the guides were too polite to remind me😅). The days never felt tiring to me, although April is pretty warm in Baja. We always finished paddling in time for a late lunch, so the afternoons were spent swimming, snorkelling and exploring. The scenery was excellent and we saw lots of wildlife including turtles, sea lions, manta rays and a humpback whale. Each afternoon, Diego went spearfishing. So a bonus was fresh sashimi most days. Yum! The booking process for the trip was straightforward with their office staffer Ceci always happy to answer questions by email. And we appreciated being able to pay in pesos rather than US dollars. I highly recommend Indomito!

This was our first trip with Indomito, but I hope it will not be our last - it was fabulous! Our guides Antonio and Diego were incredibly competent, knowledgable and professional and great cooks too. Our rented tents and sleep pads we comfortable and easy to set up. We were blessed with hot, but calm weather and paddled about 4 - 5 hours each day, camped on pristine beaches, swam, snorkeled and had time for hikes for those who wanted. The food was outstanding and copious and a real bonus was the daily fresh fish caught by Diego. We were treated to sights of a humpback whale, numerous dolphins, rays, sea turtles, along with the island's feral goats.
