Diva did a beautiful job with planning this trip. It was great to see her connect Black women with aspects of the Black Diaspora in areas of Mexico that most people do not know that’s there. She did a wonderful job blending culturally responsible Black tourism with fun, food & festivities

I had such an incredible time! Everything from the cohort I got to be a part of, to our lodging to our excursions was so well thought out and beautifully curated. A big part of this trip was exploring culture through food. I have several dietary restrictions and Diva made sure I felt safe and comfortable every place we visited. I also really loved learning about Day of the Dead traditions for Afro-Mexican communities all of our guides were so knowledgeable. And I getting to experience all this alongside incredible black women?? The cherry on top. Memories that will stick with me for years to come, thanks Diva! 💛

My mom and I had a great time. Our time was used efficiently but there was a lot of space for personal exploration and rest. I would highly encourage folks who come on this trip to have some basic Spanish knowledge, a dictionary or Google Translate on had to get the most out of the experience. There is a lot of car travel so prepare for that. Diva was a gracious host who responded well to feedback. Would highly recommend this experience to all potential participants.

I had an absolutely wonderful experience with IGOTYOURBLACK! The food and coffee tastings were absolutely delicious, the accommodations were very comfortable, the people were friendly and I could go on and on. Needless to say that I walked away from this whole experience a different person with a totally different perspective of Mexicans, especial Afro Mexicanos who take absolute pride in being “Afro”. Just mixing in and feeling the love and acceptance from the locals warmed my heart and fed my soul. Oh I’ve always heard about the cheese in Oaxaca and boy did it live up to its reputation (it was absolutely delicious). Diva, I can’t thank you enough for this very unique experience.

This was a wonderful experience that would be hard to replicate with any other tour group/company. Our host was very knowledgable and has fostered great connections with the local community, which allowed us to have a more authentic experience. Highly recommend it!
