Nestled on the edge of the Aegean sea in the beautiful unspoilt peninsula of Pelion (Greece), Dolphins Leap has been hosting luxury yoga and pilates retreats for small groups of discerning guests for over 10 years since launching in 2013.
Beautiful place and rooms ,quite remote, full of spring flowers, birds and spotted a dolphin. Wonderful Pilates and treatments from Ioannis and lots of time for walks, swimming etc. Another time I might hire a car to see a wider area.
Hosts are very welcoming and we had a lovely small group. Food is good and all fresh cooked but could be more varied. Lovely fish at local taverna.
I really enjoyed my return to Dolphin's Leap, for the tranquility, freshly cooked food and the sea and wild flowers.
Ioannis was an excellent and knowledgeable teacher of the Pilates, Qi Gong and meditation. He was grounded and generous with his attention to the group, and the different treatments. I would definitely recommend the retreat.
Staying at Dolphin’s Leap for a Pilates retreat was such a wonderful reset. For me, Ioannis really made the six days: outstanding in every way, professionally and personally. As a place, Dolphin’s Leap is remote (good) but means that you really only have five days (arrive late on day one and leave before dawn on day seven with a fairly long (min 4 hour) drive). Much of the experience depends on the group of people for that particular retreat, and the people on mine were wonderfully friendly, diverse, and easy company. The place feels more like a house share than anything else: accommodation is relatively basic and the food is ok, but nothing outstanding and short on protein (it’s vegetarian despite not a single person on the retreat being vegetarian1). Views are nice and swimming in the sea was refreshing, though some may have been put off by the short trek down to the beach or a somewhat challenging ladder into the sea! The place clearly gets repeat visitors and I can see why.
