It was a great trip we saw so much of the country and our guides were so informative that I want to come back and explore more of the country

We had a great tour guide, naturalist Dan who with the native guide, Medardo made our experience at La Selva fantastic! As I like to say, a tour guide can make or brake, a trip, an excursion or a simple walk in the woods in this case, in the jungle and Dan was extraordinary. He was informative, attentive to our needs and to my 11 years old grandson, I know he had a great time! The food was great, Chef Elvis even share some of his recipes with me. He is so creative using ecuadorian ingredients and it takes Ecuadorian cuisine to a very elegant level. Keep up the good work!

Gustavo was a truly exceptional guide! He went out of his way to bring the unique colors and culture of north Ecuador to life in our short 2 day trip! He would tell us interesting stories and facts about each place we would be visiting, so that when we arrived there we could totally immerse ourseleves in the experience. We started with a visit to the rose market, were he was so patient as we slowly took in the beauty of it all. He even waited while we watched the vendors create flower animals from start to finish. It was such a beautiful experience! Our lunch places on both days were amazing, one was right by a beutiful lake and the other was up in the mountains. The food at both places were superb! The highlight of the trip was a visit to an indigenous family's home for a traditional meal. It was by far the best meal we had in Ecuador, and we got to truly experience the rich native culture and hospitality. Some other places we visiting were the a Alpaca farm where we bought some unique items not available in stores, the vibrant Otavalo market where he helped us make really good quality purchases, the Equator museum in Cayambe, and little cafes with locally produced specialty foods. We had a late night flight, so he helped us get a hotel room near the airport for a couple of hours so we could freshen up after a long day of sightseeing. We started off with a tour guide and ended up with a true friend! Thank you Gustavo for showing us Ecuador in all its glory!

We had an awesome trip, our room was large and comfortable, the food was delicious and were able to accommodate my wife's dietary restrictions. I would highly recommend this trip, our guide and the staff was helpful and gracious.
