Me cobraron 80 por solo ida cuando 80 es el precio de ida y vuelta en cualquier agencia de cuzco.

Sadly this was an incredibly overpriced and disappointing experience. The "Sunrise Premium" option was meant to include: - private car to the train station - higher class train journey - overnight stay in a premium hotel - private sunrise guided tour of Machu Picchu - private car return from train station The private car to the train, and the train journey itself, were great. However it all started to fall apart once we arrived in Aguas Calientes, the small town from which you access Machu Picchu. I paid over $500 for this 'premium' package. The hotel in Aguas Calientes was, at best, 2*. When I checked online it did not cost more than $40 for a night. My room only had a single bed, had no soap provided, and the "included breakfast" was a small cheese roll and a banana, which was given to me in a paper bag in the lobby, and which would've cost no more than $2. The real let-down though, and the reason for the 1* review, was that my guide was one hour late to collect me the morning of the site visit. I sat there from 05:20am to 06:30am waiting for him to arrive. As I was waiting in the hotel lobby, with no answers to my phone calls or texts, for over an hour, I got to see all the other tour groups being collected and departed and, of course, this meant that I missed seeing the sun rise over Mach Picchu. This was the only reason I had justified paying so much more for the Premium package, as I kind of assumed getting up to the site to see the sunrise was the whole crux of the expedition. My guide, who slept through my phone calls, eventually answered and didn't know who I was or what I was talking about. He then asked if we could wait another 45 minutes before heading to the site. This was obviously not well received. Haku Travel did not respond to my messages till later in the day, and gave no apology at the time. Finally, the "private car" back from the train station to Cusco ended up being an extremely dangeously driven local taxi, where the driver pulled over 15 minutes into the drive to make 10 minutes of phone calls. This was after they had gone around talking to other people for no reason for nearly 10 minutes when I'd arrived from the train, and driven while texting and trying to charge their phone for the first 15 minutes of the journey. Looking back, and trying to add up the individual parts, it is impossible to calculate how they can justify charging $540 for this two-day experience. I had a private guide for the visit to Machu Picchu, but that didn't really offer anything more than a small guide book would've. The hotel was grossly over-sold, and I almost asked the final taxi driver to pull over and let me out, except I would've been trapped in the middle of nowhere in rural Peru, late at night, with the organising company not responding to messages. This was all extra disappointing as I had been in regular contact with Haku Travel ahead of the trip and this was absolutely meant to be the highlight (and was far away the most expensive thing) I did on a once-in-a-lifetime backpacking trip. Since then the company have offered nebulous "compensation" but have now stopped communicating. While Machu Picchu was incredible (even after sunrise) sadly I'd have to say avoid Haku Travel.

Quality tour with a great variety of activities. I feel it was a bit overpriced still. Accommodation was reasonable, but not exceptional as the price would suggest. Had a great time!
