This was an excellent tour, despite a few challenges with the weather and logistics. For anyone who wants to learn about, experience, and truly appreciate different cultures and environments, this is exactly the kind of tour to choose. If your top priority is luxury or maximum comfort, you may prefer a different locations to visit. That said, this tour was by no means uncomfortable. Quite the opposite. It provided a comfortable experience while emphasizing education, authenticity, adventure, and cultural exposure.

Prompt response from Anvar before and throughout the trip which I greatly appreciate. Excellent local guides in every city, who are knowledgeable and patient in answering all the questions I have about their beautiful countries. They are very helpful and cater to my requests. Small group is a major plus point. Will highly recommend to anyone who is looking for reliable tour operator for Central Asia.

I really enjoyed this 8 day Turkmenistan tour and really recommend this slightly longer version if you want to see more amazing places. I want to make special mention of Severa from Advantour who was so fantastic in both her communication and partnership to make this an incredible trip. Our guide, Max, was from the local Turkmenistan agency partner, Owadan, and you could tell this was a respected company - the organization was great. Max was fun and caring, always doing his upmost to look after the group.

We are currently in Samarkand on the penultimate day of an 11 night tour of Uzbekistan, taking in sights from the Savitisky Art Museum in Nukus, to Khiva and Bukhara and a night in a yurt in the Kyzulkum desert to the incomparable beauty of Samarkand - today we will return to Tashkent on the high speed Afrosiyob train. Everywhere has exceeded expectations, aided by our friendly and knowledgeable driver Farid to the local guides who have been expert and passionate about their own cities. The main exhaustion has been mental rather than physical - trying to comprehend a rich history ranging from interactions with Persians and Zoroastrianism, Alexander the Great, Arabs introducing Islam, Genghis Khan, Timur to more recent Soviet times. We have been welcomed wherever we have gone and felt extremely safe - in Bukhara earlier this week we noted that families with young children were still out in the central area around the reservoir after 10pm - and the whole trip has been excellent value (for the richness of the experience as well as the cost on the ground).
