We had a really super afternoon with our Afpop group at Figs on the Funcho. The setting here is quite unique, offering superb views over the river/ reservoir. The vegetarian food was absolutely delicious and our hosts Graham and Cheryl were so very hospitable.
This was our second visit and we will look forward to our return.

We enjoyed the location, the hospitality and the company.
My wife enjoyed the food, but I found it a little bland.
That may be because I enjoy meat and fish.

We had a a wonderful cooking experience with Cheryl and Graham at their beautiful retreat of Figs on the Funcho.. we were made to feel very welcome and we learnt some history of the spice trail between India and Portugal. We worked in groups of twos and with people we didn’t already know which was a good way to get to know other people.. we prepped and cooked our particular recipe and once the cooking was completed we sat around the table and enjoyed the fruits of our labour with good conversation and very good wine 🍷.. thank you 🙏
