Upper Mustang trek and 3 passes trek with island peak: 2 phantastic trekking experiences As a private group of 4 we enjoyed two really great treks in Nepal in Sept/Oct. 2026. Green Valley Nepal Treks was always very quickly responsive, easy to deal with and supported us in any manner, from first contact to the last airport transfer. They perfectly composed a trek in upper Mustang on very short notice to our wishes and made everything possible. In Sept. 26 we made a 10-day upper Mustang trek. Anil was our guide, a wonderful person. He listened to all our special wishes and made everything possible. During the walking days and many discussions, he became what we felt really a good friend, and caring guide. He had not an easy job at all, since a heavy Monsun made all original plans impossible (no electricity, no communication, devastated roads…….) and required new planning daily. Despite all the changes enforced we enjoyed a wonderful trek, as good or maybe even better than the originally planned route, in an incredible landscape. Thank you so much, Anil. Next trek was the 3 passes trek with island peak climbing. Our guide Ambar perfectly took care of us, he was always very attentive and helped us to our best. We felt always very safe and best taken care of. He was very flexible and helpful when we wanted to change the itinerary due to the weather situation on a very short notice and quickly reorganized everything. Ningma and Lakpa were our phantastic professional climbing guides for the island peak. They safely led us to the peak and back, constantly helped and supported wherever needed, we would never have made it to the peak without them. Thank you very much, Anil, Ambar, Ningma and Lakpa! We can highly recommend Anil, Ambar, Ningma and Lakpa as perfect guides, and Green Valley treks Nepal a trekking company. I had a fantastic time on our Everest Base Camp trek with Green Valley Nepal Treks & Research Hub. We could not have done this trip without their support staff, wonderful porters, and especially fantastic guide, DK. The logistics alone were quite complicated, but their team was there to help us every step of the way. Whether it was navigating through chaotic airports, obtaining the proper permits at each park gate, having reservations at booked-up tea houses, or just knowing where to be and when, they structured the trip to run smoothly and ensure we were well taken care of. Our guide DK was very kind, experienced, and knowledgeable. He set the perfect pace to allow us to acclimate to the higher elevations, enjoy the views, and avoid altitude sickness. I will definitely be going back to Green Valley for any trips I do in the future.

Just finished the 12 day EBC trek. I'm a 57 yr old male from Los Angeles and trained for this trek since July 2026. I want to say I am i- shape, above average hiker to give you context in terms of the lens I'm using to write this review. First off, communication via email with Raj was excellent. My emails were answered very quickly (within 24 hours). The process to sign up on the GV website was straightforward. We paid for the upgraded rooms and helicopter ride back down to Lukla...I would highly recommend that option. Secondly, our guide DK is outstanding! I felt he really cared about our well being throughout! His pace (very slow) is perfect to help acclimatize! I'm a fast hiker but welcomed the slower pace to adjust, be in the moment, and take pictures. The porters were all friendly and excellent! Silesh was instrumental in getting us on the plane in Lukla after a day of delays! Without his efforts, we would've been delayed at least a day! Hotel Heritage Surya was pretty good and centrally located. Rooms were clean and the breakfast buffet was more than adequate. Overall, the value you get from Green Valley and their staff far exceed the cost! Do not hesitate and just go with Green Valley....you won't be disappointed!

Exceeded my expectations and would definitely hire them again... In planning this trip, I know how important an excellent guide and support team can be, so I asked my network if anyone had done the Everest Base Camp trek and if they liked their guide/company. 2 different people piped up about GreenValley and how they were super happy they went with them. We reached out and Raj got back to us right away. Over the next few months we had tons of questions, for which he patiently answered time and time again. Thank you Raj :) He set up a full day of touring Kathmandu with a few hours notice that was outstanding. And he set up 3 days of touring Bhutan after we were done with our hiking (also outstanding - got to see Tiger's Nest and so much more - amazing). Then on our trek our guide was Gopal and porter Dahn. Gopal is an amazing leader and guided us not only safely through, but gave us detailed briefs on what to expect on the hikes and how we may feel in high altitude. He regularly checked our oxygen and pulse levels and gave food and water intake advice to ensure we stayed healthy. We had some weather challenges in the end and our exit plan changed (as it can in the mountains). Gopal was on it. He not only knows almost all the other guides we passed (who greeted him with a smile and lots of hellos - you tell he was well respected and liked by the entire community) as well as the helicopter pilots who got us out in a challenging situation. Without Gopal, I think we would have been on the mountain a few more days at least. Dahn was strong and dependable, always smiling when he passed by. Can't say enough good things about our entire team and experience. Highly recommend them. - Kristi

A very nice experience. The first day was a traditional trek through the national park, climbing and descending the mountain amidst nature. The other two days combined mountain trekking with rural paths, passing through villages and experiencing authentic Nepalese life. Comfortable accommodations with hot water and internet access each night. It's a good trek for an easier first experience in Nepal.
