I went on this trip with my wife, our daughter, and my in-laws. We stayed in an absolutely beautiful apartment at the resort, which was exceptionally clean, and outfitted with everything we needed for a family vacation.
My wife and I spent the mornings scuba diving with the group, and Bonaire diving did not disappoint. It was as advertised: beautiful dive sites filled with an incredible amount of marine life and coral reefs. The dive shop offered unlimited shore diving, which we took advantage of on occasion. It would be helpful if they updated the tank storage room with a room key card reader, so that we could grab tanks outside of the shop's opening hours, but this was not an impediment to our trip at all.
The resort has been undergoing renovations over the last few years, and has multiple pools that were fun to hang out at with our daughter. The food at the resort was always fresh, tasty, and plentiful.
Hani of New England Aquatic Training was a wonderful host who handled everything we could have asked for, and more on the trip: we were informed via e-mail before the trip of Bonaire's entry requirements, dive shop and marine park forms, and what to expect while on the trip. During the trip, he organized (optional) group dinners, and kept us abreast of the schedule for each day.
It was a wonderful trip! I only wish we had a second week there. Can't wait to do it again.
