Thank you in abundance for this absolutely wonderful journey to my 'Motherland' shared amongst a group of fifteen lovely UK residents.
I could not have asked for a more A-MAZ-ING time experiencing this remarkable journey and receiving such care and attention from our beautiful and very thoughtful Mama Adjua, Prince, Kwesi and Ben. 🫱🏾🫲🏾
The historical excursions we visited were full-on and a few were deeply moving, especially both Elmina and Cape Coast Slaves Castles, followed by Assin Manso; the river walk and last bath of our Ancestors before they were marched off to those torturous castles.😭Despite the emotional pain endured, it was such an educational revelation (for all cultures) to learn and feel the history eloquently described whilst standing/walking on those said grounds.
The various restaurants and eating traditional African food was divine and we had soooo much fun on the 'Cultural' night with live African drumming and dancing, coupled with audience participation! 🥰
Going forward with suggestions. I would say, we probably could have done with one or two rest days in-between our 10 day on-the-move tour 😉 to either relax, benefit from the facilities at the gorgeous hotels we stayed at and or go market shopping, etc.🙌🏾 Our time was limited for personal activities.
Nevertheless, I cannot avoid speaking soooooo passionately about Ghana and the three cities we visited with such great like-minded individuals. This spectacular trip comes with my full endorsement ..... HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!! THANKS A MILLION with Warm Wishes and One BIG Love Always ❤️💛💚🖤
