Founded in 1999, Jamaica Volunteer Programs is a family-owned organization led by Founder & CEO Maureen Wright-Evans.

Inspired by her own life-changing experiences growing up in Jamaica, Maureen has dedicated over 20 years to creating meaningful opportunities that empower young people through service, cultural exchange, and experiential learning.

Jamaica Volunteer Programs offers safe, structured, and impactful volunteer, study abroad, internship, and service-learning experiences. Programs focus on community development, education, childcare, sports, and sustainable initiatives—designed to foster personal growth, leadership, and global awareness.

From high school students and university groups to families and professionals, participants are welcomed into a supportive “home away from home” environment while making a real difference in local communities.
