Jessica Cross and Julie Afsahi’s Sound for Stress Crystal Singing Bowl Certification at Soul Strong Yoga was such an incredible experience. There is truly nothing better than exploring these instruments in person. Being able to actually feel the vibration and resonance of the crystal bowls simply cannot be replicated online. The master playing techniques Jessica and Julie shared were fascinating, and I walked away with a much deeper understanding of both the instruments and the intentionality behind sound work. Their teaching style was knowledgeable, supportive, and engaging throughout the entire certification. What made this training especially impactful was the trauma-informed approach they incorporated. Jessica and Julie thoughtfully added tools and perspectives that will help students hold safer, more grounded spaces for others. It added tremendous value to the certification and expanded what practitioners can bring into their own healing toolkit. I FLEW FROM OHIO TO TEXAS , for the first time , TO BE A PART OF THE TRAINING WEEKEND . I HAD A PRIVILEGE TO TRY NUMEROUS MUSICAL INSTRUMENTS THAT I DIDN’T KNOW BEFORE AND I HAD A CHANCE TO TRY THEM ALL AND PRESENT MY OWN ‘ story ‘ BY GIVING MY FIRST SOUND BATH TO THE GROUP. JUST BY PLAYING AND LISTENING TO WHAT IT DID TO ME , I GOT SO DEEPLY MOVED , THAT I FORGOT THE TIME COMPLETELY. I ALSO DISCOVERED I CAN ACTUALLY COME UP WITH NEW IDEAS MUSICALLY , HAVING SUCH A GREAT TIME ALONG . BOTH JULIE AND JESSICA ARE SUCH CHARISMATIC INSTRUCTORS THEIR ENERGY , PASSION FOR WHAT THEY DO AND SUPPORT TO IS SHARED IN ABUNDANCE .
