I booked a retreat with Leah at the last minute, as I was already in the Greek islands where it was being run. Leah was very accommodating and supportive from the start, answering questions, ensuring my arrival was easy, and informing me of what the retreat entailed.
• Arrival: When I arrived at the port, I met some other students; everyone was open. When we arrived at the retreat, we were welcomed by a warm and caring instructor (Leah). From the start, it became apparent that the other students had been to other retreats with Leah, and they all spoke highly of the events and the teachings.
• Accommodation: The views from my room were amazing, the facilities offered were 5-star, the staff couldn’t do enough for you, and the food was excellent; I could not fault any of it. It was a truly comfortable and well-cared-for environment.
• The retreat: The content was diverse and engaging, and Leah's support was unwavering. I learned and grew in ways I hadn't anticipated, which was a truly inspiring and motivating experience.
• Other participants: Five of the twelve students (41%) had completed the 200 YTT, and all wanted to attend Leah’s retreat. People had flown in from around the world to participate. That is a good advocation for the space Leah creates and the respect Leah has gained within a global community. The whole group bonded and had interesting stories to tell, and I’m sure everyone's paths will cross somewhere in the future.
• The Teacher: It's hard to describe the knowledge, support, and space Leah provides for her students. Leah was always around to answer questions, and it was not unusual to sit for hours after breakfast, talking about yoga, life, and any topic people wanted to address
Summary: If you are looking for a yoga retreat with warm kindness and want to expand your yoga practice, I highly recommend connecting with Leah and finding out when and where the next retreat is being held.
