this as such an amazing trip from the people, the food and the experiences we had. i absolutely loved the champeta class and i’m glad that we were able to go to palenque with the same guide from the class. black experiences colombia made the dance class and the trip to palenque such a great exeperience. 10/10 no notes for lena. she hosted a great trip like always. i’m glad i was able to make some great new friends on the trip as well! i highly recommend any trip with lena. she is the best!

My trip to Colombia was truly unforgettable. Cartagena and Palenque were both incredible in their own ways—rich in culture, history, and beauty. Our group host, Lena, did an amazing job coordinating everything. The people were warm and welcoming, the culture was vibrant, and I felt genuinely taken care of throughout the trip. The people I met in our group were definitely another positive! I would absolutely recommend this experience and I am keeping my eyes out for another trip hosted by Lena in the future.

This was my second trip with Lena and I once again had a blast. The Egypt trip and Cartagena trip were very different from each other but both very well planned and amazing experiences. If you are unsure about going by yourself, I highly encourage you to take the leap! You won’t regret it :)

I really enjoyed how well organized the trip was from booking to farewell and the easy access from the hostel to various restaurants and shopping. I would absolutely book again!

If I could give this trip a 100-star rating, I would! I had an unbelievable time. I particularly loved how Lena planned things so well, especially in Rio, our days were jam-packed! I didn't have to think about anything; I would just get on the bus and go. If you plan on booking with Lena (which I would highly recommend), be prepared to learn about Brazil's rich history, see lots of sights, and have fun. I came with no expectations, so I was amazed by how great this trip went. The group I was in also made the trip worthwhile. I could honestly say my time with the others amplified the experience, so come with a positive attitude and try to make connections with those around you to make the most out of your trip!
