Walking the Inca Way, what an amazing adventure. Never in my lifetime did I expect I would complete such a trek. But sharing it with my daughter made it priceless. We spent 4 days and 3 nights covering the 26 mile class 3 trail. It was hard, the hardest steps I’ve ever taken. There were moments of doubt, moments of joy reaching the summit of Dead Woman’s Pass and moments of concern for our safe return home. We pushed ourselves to the limits and for me a bit beyond. Real connection, time in nature, time with family… that’s what truly matters in the end. Thank you Llama Path for the amazing team, our Guide Gabriel Martinez, our Chef Santos and sous chef Benedicto, the super hero Porters led by Santos II, Moises, Marcelino and Primitivo. You kept us fed, healthy and motivated.

We did the 2 day Inka Trail with private guide Nico. He was fantastic. Caring, very knowledgeable about local flora & fauna and especially a very passionate and inspirational raconteur on the Inka civilisation (including the very important spiritual dimensions) Also the logistics were perfect (briefing, tickets, hotel, restaurant reservations). Not the cheapest operator around but quality has a price.

Accommodation okay. Guides were friendly and helpful. Road trips difficult and uncomfortable because roads were rough. Weather at Machu picchu was great so that worked out. I am not doing more reviews.

We cannot recommend Llamapath enough!! From the time that we began the process of securing our itinerary, everyone at the company was very responsive to emails, questions, itinerary changes, etc. Once we were in Peru, the guides and drivers made every transition easy to navigate- to include cars, buses, planes, and trains. All of the guides were very eager to share about their country and had so much patience for all of our questions about everything that we were seeing. Our original plan was to do the three night/four day Inca trail hike to Machu Picchu as part of our itinerary. However, due to some unexpected illness, we were unable to participate. However, Joe at Llamapath was so helpful (on short notice) in assisting us in finding new accommodations and arranging transportation so that we still got to see Machu Picchu. As I said in the beginning I can’t recommend their services enough!!
