Very special experience in Umbria! Lovely countryside, great accommodations, wonderful food and an overall meaningful venture! Kaylan and Lori and just the best!

This is my fifth retreat associated with Lori Myles-Carullo. Lori always makes you feel valued. Her guidance is kind and upbeat. The accommodations were beautiful, unique, and comfortable. The surrounding grounds were landscaped and maintained to perfection, surrounded by extraordinary views of the mountains. The innkeepers were welcoming and approachable. The meals were wonderfully prepared with fresh produce from their extensive gardens.

My experience at this yoga retreat in Umbria was nothing short of extraordinary. Nestled amid the rolling hills of the Italian countryside, the villa offered breathtaking vistas in every direction—lush fields, ancient olive groves, brilliant poppies, and picturesque hilltop villages that seemed lifted straight from a postcard. Each day began with serene Sadhana sessions accompanied by spectacular skies surrounding the yoga sanctuary and ended with unforgettable sunsets that bathed the landscape in warm, golden light. We were also treated to the only blue moon of 2026 while experiencing the glorious Locanda del Gallo! The attention to detail throughout the retreat was exceptional. Paola, Irish, Thai, and all their staff embody pride in their work, in their daily interactions, and in all they do. Every meal was thoughtfully and carefully curated, showcasing the finest local ingredients and authentic Umbrian flavors. From vibrant seasonal produce to beautifully prepared dinners enjoyed al fresco, each dish felt like a celebration of the region’s culinary heritage. Using mostly grown on premise components, the meals were nourishing, elegant, and perfectly complemented the retreat’s focus on wellness and mindfulness. My favorite dessert was a lemon sorbet created using lemons grown on site from a tree that is brought indoors in colder weather in order to ensure its wellbeing. Beyond the stunning setting and incredible food, the atmosphere at the villa was warm, welcoming, and deeply restorative. The combination of Kaylan and Lori’s expert yoga instruction, luxurious accommodations, spectacular scenery, and outstanding cuisine created an experience that was both rejuvenating and inspiring. I left feeling refreshed, grounded, and profoundly grateful for the opportunity to spend time in such a magical corner of Italy. Kaylan and Lori outdid themselves in the creation and implementation of this retreat, encouraging warm group interactions, yet never losing sight of the solitude needed for individual reflection and recharging. If the opportunity arises, give yourself the gift of a spa service from Pamela to perfectly complement the overall experience. I cannot recommend this retreat highly enough. Do it for you!
