Such an amazing experience. A lifetime lived in 24 days. Amazing teachers who helped each student from where they were. Pushing us to places we didn’t know we could go. I feel prepared to implement all I have learned as I return to teaching at my home studio. I am much more prepared to assist and adjust students. All the staff was amazing especially the cooks who created a beautiful variety of meals sourced from fresh ingredients. I would highly recommend this school for 300 hour MS - YTT.

Simply Life Changing If you are looking for a luxury experience of instagram yoga, go somewhere else; but if you're looking for the genuine experience of traditional yoga, this is the school for you. Did I say school? It's more like a bootcamp. Be prepared to change everything. When you wake up. When and what and how you eat. How you poop. Who your friends are. What you believe. How the world works. What life even is. This is not the place for ego. This is the place for surrender. My mind and my body were broken, flipped upside down, and put back together into something that is somehow the same, yet altogether different. It's not just the regular program. It's the guests who stop by. It's the field trips. It's the challenges you run into. It's the advice you get. It's the people you are with. It's the flowers and the rain and the monkeys. I will look back on my life as the time before I came here, and the time after. It's that much of a life-changing experience. If you feel the call and are prepared to give everything to yoga, these are your people; this is your place.

I received my 300 hour multi style in December with Maa Shakti Yog in Bali and it is safe to say the amount of knowledge this particular group of instructors (Anckit, Babloo, Azmi and Dominika in particular) have and shared with us was exceptional. I was one of 6 in my program, and we all very much felt the amount of one on one time we had with the instructors helped to make the training special for us. I am walking away with a much deeper understanding of yoga philosophy, Ashtanga, Hatha, and hands on adjustments than I had previously had and I am excited to share that knowledge back home! The school provided a canvas bag, pen,2 reference books for the trainings, and a small blank page notebook- fair warning if you are OCD, it is completely blank and organization of notes between the class styles/days ended up all jumbled together for myself and a fair amount of others. It was appreciated to be provided these materials, especially to reference after coming home. I shared a two bedroom with a roommate and had a great experience with her- I actually ended up meeting her in the airport before training thinking we were going to 2 different trainings due to the training style and booking through different websites- Once we both arrived, we then realized there are several different styles of trainings happening at the same school, and most classes are separated with meals and excursions being shared with all groups. The accommodations were a decent experience. We had a great working AC unit that kept the room cool on hot days. A friend previously attended this same training and recommended I bring a travel pillow- I was very thankful for that tip and would highly recommend! Mine was a cheap memory foam travel pillow from Amazon and it made a huge difference in comfort. The rooms were restocked and linens changed several times a week, and my walk from our room to the classes/meals was not far, however they did walk by construction. I felt safe, however I was the only 300 hour attendee in my building which meant the last week of the training I was the only one left staying in my building. As the only one in the building the final week and being female, I wasn’t a huge fan of having a construction crew of mostly men staring directly at my room/ the building all day). I discussed this with the school and they offered to move me to another location without hesitation. Don’t let “rainy season in December” scare you off! I found the short storms helped to cool everything off and were refreshing. I never used my rain jacket, and only borrowed an umbrella from our cafe a couple times. The season did attract a fair amount of mosquitoes; however the 300 hour group had most all classes in the top floor of the shala, and this helped to avoid them. You can purchase repellant everywhere, and the school also had several bottles. Location in Ubud: The street where our classes were held was nice including several cafes, shops, massage, and coffee options. There was a decent amount of foot traffic and I felt extremely safe. The entrance to the class locations was located through a private entrance from the street that housed 3 shalas, a few rooms for attendees including bunk bed houses, and then almost constant construction for new buildings throughout the day towards the back of the property(not very desirable for classes and was right next to us). The cafe where meals were served (a short walk away from the shalas) was so quaint and the staff were EXCEPTIONAL and the sweetest people I’ve ever met. Shout out to Rani, Dharma, Thata, and Mita! The food was most times very tasty, but at times I felt lacked protein. Admitingly, I am not vegan nor vegetarian, and I ate several meals outside of the school- I would highly recommend to! There is amazing food in Bali and the prices are so low compared to what I am used to in the US! I bought a jar of peanut butter and some granola/protein bars at a nearby grocery store (20 min walk/6ish minute scooter ride away) and I would recommend to do the same. The days were always packed with a lot of asana practice and sweat. Because if this I would recommend to bring electrolyte packets if you can! I was very glad I did. Water is everywhere, and you can always purchase coconut waters at nearby stores. The view from our shala was absolutely stunning, and I will forever cherish the month of sunrises and sunsets I witnessed there. Overall, I had a great experience!
