Marlee Liss: After being involved in the yoga world for eight years, Marlee spent a summer working on Yasodhara Ashram in British Columbia, which practices Kundalini Yoga and celebrates the Divine Feminine. Upon her return, Marlee successfully completed her 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training at Ahimsa Toronto, as well as her Reiki certification. Trained in various styles of yoga, she teaches Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Yin, Power Yoga, Yin Yang and Slow Flow classes. With a background in dance, many of her sequences incorporate flowing lyrical movements in order to take yogi's out of their minds and deeper into their bodies. Marlee's life work is dedicated to women's empowerment, she creates transformative spaces pulling from her experience working with NEDIC (National Eating Disorder Info Centre), from her education in Social Work, and from the Re-Humanize book and movement she founded to challenge objectification and end violence towards women.
