Group travel with a schedule set by someone else has never appealed to me. As a prolific traveler, I delight in the details of time, place, level of service, activities, and leisure balance. Mount Noire (MN) accounted for all those factors and more. They were meticulously detailed, yet flexible should a group member have a special need such as a dietary restriction, travel disruption or a desire to deviate from the thoughtful agenda.
Mount Noire's professionalism is a feature, not a bug. From its social media promotion to trip sign-up to pre-arrival communication to in-person interactions, the team is top-tier. They understand nuance and how to communicate clearly, timely, and concisely. In addition, the team is fun, sharing great, positive energy throughout the experience. They want to get to "yes" as an answer to as many questions/requests as possible, and they do! That's service.
I participated in a trip to Val D'Isere. The team's knowledge of the mountain - its geography, terrain, village layout, transportation system, e.g. - was superior. I know the amount of time and effort it takes to learn a mountain well enough to make others comfortable taking yoir guidance. Kudos to the MN for making that investment of time and energy.
Speaking of energy, what's a trip if you don't have fun? The MN team not only scheduled the fun, but they also set the tone for each day and for each event. They understand people and luxe events with a common touch. They maximized apres ski opportunities and added special surprises along the way to raise the wow factor even more. Who wouldn't enjoy an unexpected snowmobile ride through the French Alps that included an overlook of the highest peak in the Alps, Mlunt-Blanc?
Mount Noire knows what they're doing. They have a stellar social media team. Wenona , the co-founder, has assembled a fantastic team of sisters to curate world-class travel experiences that bring people from the Black diaspora to the slopes. I wish them all the best and can't wait to join them again in 2027.
