I am delighted to write this review for Mountain Rock. What an experience, and when I say every detail is thought through, I truly mean every detail. Not only did we have an exceptional guide and brilliant porters, but the preparation leading up to the trip covered every angle. Before we even arrived in Kathmandu, Dipak was always available, quick to respond, and incredibly helpful with all our questions. His experience, from porter, to guide, to running one of Nepal’s most respected trekking agencies, is evident in every interaction. There was nothing he couldn’t organise, and it’s clear how widely he is known and respected. Our guide, Eku, was outstanding. Not only is he highly experienced, but he is also a genuinely beautiful human being. He looked after us every single day, kept us motivated, made sure we understood each day’s trekking plan, and closely monitored our oxygen and heart rates. We felt safe, supported, and very much part of the Mountain Rock family. Our porters, Khagendra and Nowang, were fantastic. I was guided back by Nowang, a qualified guide as well as a porter, for the final two days, and he seemed to know everyone on the trail from Gorakshep to Lukla. Their strength, kindness, and positivity made such a difference to our journey. We also enjoyed a wonderful welcome dinner in Kathmandu before the trek, our first introduction to Dal Bhat and Nepalese culture, complete with incredible dancing. Mountain Rock provided high‑quality duffel bags and sleeping bags, all in excellent condition and perfect for the trek. At the end of the trip, we were presented with a beautifully framed certificate, another thoughtful touch that reflects the care and attention Mountain Rock puts into every part of the experience. We intentionally chose a local company, and throughout the trek we kept saying how grateful we were to have found them (or rather, how grateful my friend Carmen was to have found them!). If you are considering a trekking company for your adventure, I hope this review gives you confidence. You will not find a better, safer, or more capable team than Mountain Rock. Everest Base Camp with Mountain Rock Trekking. Everything was well organized from start to finish, but the highlight was our guide, Jit. He was knowledgeable, patient, encouraging, and always made us feel safe and supported on the mountain. We genuinely just had fun laughing and dancing our way up the mountain. By the end of the trek, he felt more like a friend than a guide. Reaching Base Camp was unforgettable, but the people we shared the journey with made it truly special. We can’t recommend Mountain Rock Trekking and Jit highly enough!

Dipak and the Mountain Rock team put together an amazing solo trekking trip for me along the EBC trail, everything was perfectly organised, as a solo woman traveller I felt safe and taken care of at all times, the guide and hotels were superb. He also organised a day tour in Nepal after the trek which was really interesting and helped me make the most of my short time there. Using a local Nepalese agency was great as there was always someone available locally to help if needed and to respond to adjustments quickly and efficiently. I would definitely recommend them and will use them again. Thanks for everything :)

A perfectly organized trekking tour with an amazing team and group. I can highly recommend Mountain Rock Treks! Their many years of experience clearly show in the excellent organization. I will definitely choose this company again for my next trekking trip in Nepal. I am absolutely excited with this trekking experience! I made the EBC Trek. A highlight was the excellent communication with the company owner Dipak, before and during the trip. He was always available, answered all questions friendly, and organized everything perfectly. From taxis to accommodations and flights, everything was handled smoothly. Due to unexpected weather conditions, a helicopter had to be arranged at short – this was managed quickly and efficiently, which shows the company has a strong network. Another big advantage was the small group size. It created a very personal atmosphere, and we quickly became a close-knit group, which made the experience even more special. Our guide Jit was very friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He knew the area extremely well, answered all our questions, and made the whole journey truly memorable. I always felt safe and comfortable. The porter Chumteng also did a fantastic job – he carried my luggage reliably and was always friendly and considerate. Overall, my expectations were exceeded. The atmosphere was both warm and familiar, yet highly professional – a combination you don’t often find. I can highly recommend Mountain Rock Treks!! Thanks to everyone!
