This was my second writing retreat at Bron Y Graig. I came last year and enjoyed it so much - the workshops, the free writing/exploring time, the incredible food and hospitality, and the wonderful group of people chance threw my way. Five of the eight of us booked as a group again (the others were far away in the Galapagos and elsewhere, but otherwise would have joined again). Nic and Wendy have created the perfect combination of structure/input and flexibility, so you can really make this retreat your own. The local area is beautiful with plenty of opportunities for sightseeing (Ruthin and Llangollen were highlights for us) and walking. The house itself is delightful - me and a friend I met last year enjoyed sitting in the lounge chatting and looking through the books and games in the library. We are already planning our 2027 trip (with friends made in both previous retreats). I now see this as an annual creative and wellbeing escape that's a staple in my diary.

My second visit to A Place to Write did not disappoint. It provided the space to write and reflect in beautiful and comfortable surroundings. The tutored programme was well-designed for the needs of the group with plenty of time for writing. The guided walk on the first day was a nice break out, with spectacular hills, if rather steep! The food was delicious. I felt nurtured and well looked after.

The immersive Shakespeare experience was better than I had hoped. The beautiful retro William Morris room with state-of-the-art bathroom and breathtakng view was a delight. Food all delicious, plentiful, cooked and beautifully served. Fantastic welcome, well planned activities and lots of laughs.

An excellent Writers' Retreat. Most enjoyable and productive. Nic and Wendy are such welcoming hosts.

I enjoyed the experience and would recommend this retreat to all.
