Nestled at an altitude of 1119 meters, Kosmas stands as a picturesque mountain village in Arkadia, offering a breathtaking backdrop of lush greenery, meandering rivers, and a dense forest of fir trees. The village's central square is adorned with seven magnificent plane trees, planted in 1883, creating a tranquil atmosphere. Dominating the square is the Church of Agios Anargyroi.Constructed with local stone by skilled craftsmen, the houses embody traditional local architecture. With a vantage point overlooking the Saronic Gulf, the village affords spectacular views, revealing the islands of Spetses and Hydra on clear horizons.Rich in historical significance, this region, once part of the Spartan kingdom, played a pivotal role in Greek history. The present-day Kosmas encompasses the ancient city of Selinous, which featured a temple dedicated to Apollo. From the airport, we’ll take a scenic drive to Leonidio Village, where the Parnonas Mountains await.We will stop in the famous Corinth Canal, a marvel of engineering that slices through the narrow Isthmus of Corinth, connecting the Aegean and Ionian Seas. Here, you’ll have a chance to stretch your legs, take in the incredible views, and snap a few photos before continuing. As we leave Corinth Canal behind, the landscape shifts to beautiful coastal views, with the blue waters of the Aegean Sea stretching out alongside us.&nbsp;At the and of the day we will get to village leonidio Tucked between towering red cliffs and the sea, this historic town is rich in traditional architecture, with stone houses, narrow streets, and vibrant gardens. The town’s laid-back atmosphere invites you to relax and immerse yourself in its unique charm. Surrounded by olive groves and citrus orchards, Leonidio offers stunning views at every turn, whether it's the dramatic Parnonas Mountains or the nearby sparkling coastline.

Take a moment to soak in the peaceful atmosphere before getting ready for an exciting day ahead.Prepare for the Hike: After breakfast, we’ll gather together to prepare for our hike. we will Pack water, snacks, and a camera to capture the stunning scenery.Free Time to Explore Leonidio: After preparing for the hike, you'll have some free time to explore the village. Here are some suggestions:Walk Through the Village: Wander through the picturesque streets, and perhaps stop by a local café for a coffee or a traditional Greek pastry. The stone-built houses, narrow alleys, and vibrant bougainvillea will make for a picturesque and peaceful atmosphere. &nbsp;&nbsp;&nbsp;Tsakonian cooking workshop: In the evening, Heleni will lead a Tsakonian cooking workshop, where you’ll have the chance to learn traditional recipes passed down through generations. Using local ingredients such as olive oil, fresh herbs, and vegetables from the region, you’ll create—and enjoy—a delicious meal that reflects the flavors and traditions of Tsakonia. This hands-on experience will leave you with a deeper appreciation for the local culture and its connection to the land.&nbsp;

The trail winds through enchanting ancient paths, that weave alongside stunning streams. Keep your eyes peeled for the impressive tower of Glyppia, a landmark that stands tall and majestic from afar. Its beauty will surely leave a lasting impression. Distance: 16k Elevation Gain: 640m Elevation Loss: 800m

&nbsp;Our adventure continue with a refreshing walk through a majestic fir forest, its towering trees filtering the sunlight in a magical way. Emerging from the cool embrace of the woods, we’ll arrive at the charming village of Prastos. Rejuvenated, we’ll continue our trek towards Mazia Gorg, a scenic spot perfect for a well-deserved rest before tackling the exciting climb to Kastanitsa. Kastaintsa has stunning traditional architecture, including traditional local buildings with unique slate rock tiles. A relaxing ending to a day of action.
