This was an incredible trip. Our stay at the Napo Wildlife Center was a highlight; the accommodations were lovely and the food was delicious. Each day was spent with our naturalist guides looking for and finding birds and other animals. Trips up into wildlife observation towers allowed us to see such amazing things including macaws, many-banded aracari, toucans, and many, many other birds. On our many canoe trips (with someone else paddling!) we saw other birds, multiple types of monkeys, sloths, and otters. The trip to the Galapagos Islands was also fascinating. We had such fun seeing the blue-footed boobies, red-footed boobies, great frigatebirds, magnificent frigatebirds, flamingos and so many others. Even managed to see a couple of penguins while snorkeling. For me, the only true problem was that seas were often rough at night causing some initial sea-sickness so that I did not always feel well. I must add that Norby and Susie were wonderful about helping us with all travel including getting us to and through airports/arranging accommodations, etc.

This was a wonderful one day trip in Quito. Susie was exceptionally knowledgeable about the history of the area and provided very helpful commentary regarding the many places we managed to visit in just one day including a museum, 2 fascinating churches, and the Intinan Equator Museum. Somehow we saw all this without feeling rushed. The day ended with a delicious meal at a restaurant on a volcano rim - such incredible views. Well worth the expense to have such an enjoyable and educational day without the hassle of planning and dealing with our own transportation.

Very interesting and informative tour by Susana in Old Quito. We visited the Casa Del Alabado Museo and explored numerous displays of carved stone, gold and silver. The Plaza de San Francisco and the beautiful Basilica de San Francisco during morning Mass, and the equally beautiful and spectacular Iglesia de la Compania de Jesus. After a delicious hot chocolate at raqeri Restaurant and Chocolateria, we ventured to El Crater Restaurant for a delicious lunch at 9,330 feet. We finished our day Intinan Equator Museum where our delightful guide Salome' led us in fun hands-on activities about the Equator. A great tour by Susana and Norby!
