This retreat was a beautifully orchestrated getaway intended to bring together 8 women and help them to get to know themselves, each other and the beauty of Guatemala. Every place we stayed was beautiful and had all the amenities we needed (and more :) The food, some prepared by local chefs and some at restaurants, was always good and inspired us to change to more "clean eating"! Lots of fresh fruits & vegetables grown locally. We visited 3 different non-profits that are trying to lift up the people of Guatemala and felt privileged to have the chance to get to know some of the local people. Although we sometimes were pushed out of our "comfort zone", this was done to help us learn :& grown - and we never felt unsafe.
