This is a fantastic tour! Expert guides that are professionally-trained in Marine Biology. Our guide had a deep knowledge in the ecology and natural history of the humpback whales, but also the many other marine animals and birds that we saw on our tour. This is the best tour you can do. They follow all the local laws and policies, and the money you are spending is literally being used to fund whale research and conservation. This is my second time doing this tour with my university students, and I will continue to use Onca Explorations.

This trip did not happen. I would say a word of caution for anyone wanting to book with this company. I was able to place this tour on the company calendar site. The trip was booked last Friday for the following day, which was Saturday. However, the company never responded to my email and did not provide pick-up information. By 3 pm on Friday, I tried to cancel the trip by sending an email. The trip did not happen, and I never received a response from the company. Today, I can see that the money was removed from my account. Buyer beware!

What a great adventure! Ciro & his crew gave us a fantastic time on the water. Hearing the whales singing got us so excited to see them & the thorough information made it even better! Being able to see these majestic animals was equally humbling & exciting. We already have some friends booking their adventures & we will definitely do this again when we come next year!! I highly recommend you spend a morning on the water with Ciro & his crew.

Great opportunity to whale watch in Mazatlan. I did have to reach out to the company about organizing pickup multiple times via Whatsapp, email, and phone before finally getting someone to respond in Whatsapp the day before. However, pickup was as described. The boat ride was smooth, the bilingual guide was easy to understand in English and the captain did a good job of looking for whales. We saw two groups of whales, a sea lion, a sea turtle, and some dolphins in the distance. The snack sandwiches and cold waters were a great snack. And hearing the whales on the hydrophone for a few minutes was neat. Good experience for the price.

The excursion was really fun, and was an adventure I was exactly looking for. I went solo, but I met really nice and friendly people going along for the ride, we saw 5 whales and also dolphins. Would definitely recommend this as a quick and fun half day activity
