A perfect trip for people who want a relaxing beach/nature experience rooted in indigenous culture. Incredibly beautiful scenery, peaceful atmosphere, very kind people. The drive from Panama City was definitely windy and we got motion sickness both ways for the second half, but well worth it. A million times prettier than the pictures. I felt very privileged to have been able to learn about Guna culture and had a great time hanging out with the Guna people who hosted us. We only spent one night and I would've loved to have done at least another half-day, or a second night (arriving at 9am on the island and leaving at 8am is a quick turnaround for such a relaxing place). The afternoon activities were visiting other beautiful, unique islands, stopping at a "natural pool" where you can stand up about 1m deep in the middle of the ocean w/ starfish to snorkel and see, and hanging out on another island with a bar playing volleyball with Guna folks and drinking piña coladas. The accommodations were clean and comfortable, nothing fancy but that's the experience--if you want a 5-star resort go somewhere else. We were served fresh fish with rice/lentils and other simple but good food for our meals, very solid. A great experience. Highly highly recommend!
