Thank You CarpeDM. Our personal guide Lincoln delivered almost everything we desired! From experiencing hummingbirds on our hands, butterflies galore at Mariposa de Mindo, to trekking to the furthest waterfall Le Reina – with time to spare to sample & buy Yumbos chocolates in town! We couldn't have enjoyed ourselves anymore than we did – although Lincoln didn't entice that toucan for a photo with his recorded toucan sounds on his iphone:( P.S. He also was very sneaky with taking photos of us – we prefer being behind the camera!

Our guide Alex was great. He was very patient with us. The crater and the lake was absolutely beautiful. I took many pictures on the way down. It was actually very cool, almost cold as well as windy on the rim but it quickly warmed up on the way down and I needed to take off a couple layers. They way back up was steep and difficult so I took the Quilotola Uber, a mule for $10, well worth the expense. Your shoes and pants will get full of dust from the trail. I would definitely recommend this tour.

We really enjoyed our day out with Alex, our guide. Good mix of activities and Alex was very knowledgeable and personable. Particularly enjoyed the morning tea with the bizcochos!
