CarpeDM has done an outstanding job in helping us construct this long (1 month) and fully customized trip. From the beginning, communication was excellent, with a very reactive dialogue and a great flexibility in taking our expectations into account. The execution of the trip was no less impeccable. Logistics were perfect without any glitch. Daily WhatsApp communications helped monitor the status and make necessary adjustments where required. One of CarpeDM's great assets is their remarkable, highly competent guides. We were assisted by local guides for each section of our trip with amazing knowledge of their region, its culture, nature, history, and biodiversity ; they also made our hikes memorable. Off-the-beaten-track visits such as Saraguro in Quechua country were included and proved highly interesting. While CarpeDM has an established reputation for active adventures, we can testify they are top-notch as well for more "classic' travel, sightseeing, cultural, environmentally-oriented. We will no doubt call them when we travel again in Ecuador.

We had the most MAGICAL day trips in Quito!! A++++++++ on ALL levels!!! We loved our first full-day tour so much that we ended up booking a second full-day tour with the same company—and WOW, it did not disappoint! Our first day included a visit to the Equator, a ride on the gondola up Pichincha Volcano, and a tour of Quito’s beautiful historic quarter, where we enjoyed lunch and visited several spectacular churches. The following day, we drove about 2.5 hours outside of Quito to visit a magical Hummingbird and Butterfly sanctuary. Dozens of hummingbirds and butterflies actually landed on our hands—it was truly incredible! Then we went zip-lining before finishing the day with an amazing Cacao Tour, where we sampled artisan chocolate and learned all about how cacao is grown, harvested, and transformed into chocolate. I have already shared this tour company’s website with several friends and family members because the experience was THAT good! If you’re visiting Quito, Ecuador, and looking for the BEST DAY TOUR, I highly recommend this company. From start to finish, everything was absolutely fantastic! A++++++++ on ALL levels!!!

Alejandro made our day very enjoyable! He has much knowledge about the Quito to Cotapaxi area. It was interesting to hear he has twice climbed the glacier to the lip of the volcano. He also is good at identifying birds , flowers, and shrubs at the lagoon area. He spoke extremely fluent English that my grandchildren and I could understand. Great day to visit the volcano
