We had a great time, our guide was knowledgable and fun to be with. She modified the trip to our desires and interests . Could not of asked for a better day out!

Our booking agent Dorian with CarpeDM was amazingly helpful and our experience at the lodge was phenomenal. Great guides (Hairo was the best), lovely accommodations for an eco-lodge and a really good experience overall.

They ended up merging buses with a public bus so our bus was completely full despite being a separate transport - we even made multiple stops in Quito for these other people before getting back. If we wanted a normal bus route we wouldve booked the much cheaper option. Was also told that we could leave luggage on the bus then the bus decided to drive away with our stuff and we had to spend a lot of time getting it back (bus driver wasnt planning on coming back initially)

Piranha Lodge was not quite the right choice for me, but could be perfect for others with more jungle experience. No mosquito Nets and poor ventilation made for anxious sleep, rather non sleep. My guide Lupe was really amazing, seeing things so camouflaged we still didn't see them until they moved. She had exceptional knowledge but I missed a lot due to my own faulty language barrier. If your Spanish is good and you don't mind the crazy night bus and lack of sleep, don't hesitate. Next time I'll pay the extra to fly to a different region of the Amazon and avoid the insomnia migraine. They were super helpful to allow me to cut my trip short by one day, and even gave me money back which was very kind and unexpected.
