My husband and I were in Peru for 12 days and used Pie Experiences for the private 1 day Inca Trail hike, Rainbow Mountain hike and car server/transfer to Puerto Maldonado. Katherine from Pie Experiences is amazing. She promptly answers any questions or concerns. She is very easy to get in touch with via WhatsApp. The One Day Inca trail hike is perfect for those who do not want to do a 4 day backpacking trip, but want to experience the Inca trail. Rodrigo is a great guide - he is very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed the time we spent with him on the trail. We were so lucky, that he was then assigned as our guide for Rainbow mountain. The trip to Rainbow mountain is a long day of driving, but it is totally worth it for the views. I was worried about the elevation, but our guide reminded us to take it slow and that was great advice! I cannot say enough about Katherine - We were supposed to fly from Cusco to Puerto Maldonado, but out flight was cancelled at 7:30pm the night before due to the Lima airport closure. I messaged Katherine asking for help to find a driver to take us to Puerto Maldonado, since we already had a confirmed reservation at a jungle lodge for only 2 days. Within about 20 minutes she was able to arrange for a driver to take us to our next destination! Katherine truly saved our trip! I also want to send a big THANK YOU to our driver Ivan, who drove us 8.5 hours over the crazy mountain roads to Puerto Maldonado in order to meet our guide for our jungle tour. Once Ivan dropped us off, he had to make the return trip on his own. Ivan was a very safe driver and we felt comfortable the entire trip. We had the trip of a lifetime in Peru- Lima, Sacred Valley, Macchu Picchu, Cusco and an incredible trip to the Amazon. Katherine was over the top amazing in planning our trip, she was so responsive to our questions and even helped with many last minute changes we requested. We 100% recommend Pie experiences. Our trip to Peru was just perfect and we thank all the Peruvians we met who were, without exception, so kind and gracious.

This is one of the best and prettiest hikes I’ve done. It wasn’t too difficult either. Well worth it. Our guide Rodrigo was wonderful!! The box lunch exceeded expectations and the hotel was very nice. Excellent.
