I've just been to Georgia with Pure Trails and I had an excellent time with a brilliant group of people who got on really well, despite mostly not knowing each other at the start. On the practical side, it was a very well-planned trip, in some fabulous, and often very quiet, mountains. We stayed in some great (if occasionally quirky) places and the food was copious and excellent. You don't need much spending money, as a lot is taken care of. At the beginning and end (in the city) we had local guides accompanying us, providing entertaining and informative insights into Georgia. Pure Trails are a pleasure to deal with and you will be well looked after on the trails, a welcome and unusual feeling for those of us used to leading or doing things alone.

I loved the Pure Trails, Georgia trip. Our leader, Matt, was fantastic & the itinerary was perfect. A great mix of longer/shorter days & varying elevation made it very do-able! I would definitely recommend it!

I just came back from my second Pure Trails trip in Lavaredo, after doing Amalfi last fall, and both were wonderful! Every detail is so carefully thought out and both trips were seamless. Nicole, Nai, and Eddy were the guides on both my trips and they are amazing - kind, supportive, incredibly knowledgeable, and so much fun! They all were great at adapting to the needs of the group and making it a positive experience for everyone. Already planning to do another trip with Pure Trails next year, can’t wait!

I had a great Lavaredo trip. The guides (Nicole, Naomi and Eddy) were all a lot of fun and very considerate of our wellbeing. Personally, I managed to sprain my ankle on the first day, which affected the amount that I could run - but I cycled instead (eg up Tre Cima) and still had a great experience. I was the only male customer on the trip (with 4 other females), which was fine, but not quite ideal. The hotel (Victoria) was great. Cortina and the dolomites in general massively exceeded my expectations. (the fab weather helped). Thanks! Dave

You might want to skip this one. No one from PureTrails actually showed up for the PureTrails Adventure in Kyrgyzstan. There was no communication before or after, other than to make sure we went and paid the bill in full. This seems odd, since I had heard several positive things about PureTrails. Irritating still. The basics (including a local tour guide) were provided for during the ten days. Opt for a local operator. You'll probably get more for your money, and you'll be supporting local tourism at the same time.
