Well organized, super fun group!! Guides were top of the line!!! Such a great and memorable backpacking trip!! I will never forget. The days went by too fast. The scenery was spectacular, trails were perfect, food was great!

SUCH an amazing trip. I have done numerous group (and solo trips) and Root has gone above and beyond. Even before the trip, they make sure you are kept up to date and informed by sending pre-trip e-mails and even having pre-trip Zoom calls to get to know your fellow travelers. They were available to answer all questions, no matter how small. I absolutely loved how everything (and I mean everything) was included. No other company has done this and it just made it one less thing I had to worry about so I could completely relax and enjoy the trip. The trip itself was beyond amazing! I love how they integrated mindfullness and meditation. It was so nice to disconnect and be out in nature and reconnect with yourself and others. While we may have started off as strangers from all backgrounds and walks of life, we came together and developed an amazing bond over the course of a week. The Root leaders were such a valuable asset to the trip making sure both our bodies and mind were healthy and relaxed as well. The local guides were phenomenal and became part of our group. I love how all equipment was provided and their commitment to sustainability. I was shocked and pleasantly surprised with how delicious all the food was! I have to admit, I was a little nervous about the dehydrated food, but it was amazing! Every dinner was a 3+ course meal! The only 'negative' was there was too much food lol! (which meant we had to carry it all) Such an amazing experience and great trip! I am so glad I took a chance on this (new to me) company. Can't wait to go on another trip with them and I suggest you do the same :)

I'm still having a hard time putting it into words. The whole experience was incredible. Banff was stunningly beautiful. The Root staff was wonderful and the local guides were stellar! 15 strangers became friends quickly - it was a great group and I enjoyed them all immensely. Root makes it so easy, covering everything you need in detail online and in the pre-trip calls. 10/10
